Hi

This month our cover model is NPC Figure Monica Mark

"My Ironman Experience" by Monica Mark, a new section with monthly tips by Rebecca Slatt. Triple coverage of events and expo photos from two events. Also includes other articles and video interviews.

JC - I know the women appreciate the exposure but damn man, you could make the hottest woman in the world look like hell. Monica Mark is a very attractive woman and that cover does her no justice. Try a solid back drop, a make up artist and some time with lighting on these women.

LOL  your art background coming through!  :D   Mind if I add my own 2 cents:

-The crop is waaay too close to the top of her head, creating a tangent
-the S-curve of her body could be exaggerated a bit more; have her lean on that hip more
-the arms, and especially hands, look too tense and stiff.
-upper body and lower body are facing too much in the same direction; try twisting at the waist to add more dynamism
-as Isaac noted, the background is a touch too busy, even if blurred
--hire a friggin' photo retoucher for once--case in point is the face and tattoo on the hip (it looks like a bruise--airbrush that thing out)
--see that secondary lighting on her hair?  That's fine, but the similar tone in the background along her waist is poor composition.

That's enough for now....  :D

Lighting is also un-even between her face and body - have you ever used a reflector before? Balance out light source with subject matter... it's probably a stop or two over exposed too.
