I did legpresses all the way, full range of motion, thighs all the way to the ribs. now i fucked up my rib, i cant do elgpress anymore. now i focuse on the hacksquat, no problem there with the rib. Basically what i want to say is you can fuck yourself up even without ego-training. When you see those guys with heavy weight to moove the weight a couple of inches.

i find it's easiest to avoid injury by:
doing weight you can handle
using proper form
not worrying about what others around you think.

Well i could handle the weight with ease, i just wanted to go all the way down with the weight, see how far a could go. it was proper form, but still you re not safe. my rib is busted
i find it hard to believe that if you used proper weight and form that you'd hurt your rib. if you indeed did, and you broke your rib, i think you'd have a major lawsuit on your hand. do you remember what kind of a machine it was?

Well i did 15 clean reps, with 300 kg. It was just the regular leg-press where you load the weight up yourself. I dont think my rib is broken, just bruised, it hurts when i walk sometimes, and i cant do no fucking legpresses anymore, then it hurts like hell.
I dont think i can sue them, when you join a gym, every gym, they say they re not responsible of any injury.
Sue the gym, because you hurt yourself using the equipment?

you do not have to go real deep in the leg press...Like Squats their really is no reason to go ass to floor...It just ups the anti on injuries...Of course 1/4 reps are pathetic to watch also esp. if someone is loading up the bar(ala Kamali)...Somewhere in the middle is sufficient...And keep your abs tight when lowering...

Most guys pile on the plates and waste their time doing shallow leg presses claiming they could use 1000lbs. These guys normally have the back board really upright. The truth is they would be buried if they had the balls to bend their legs a little.
I believe in using less weight but doing a good range of motion. Having said that you can break a rib going too deep. I have felt rib pain trying to go rock bottom in leg presses. I can see how easy it is to break a rib going too deep.

How? Squats were killing my low back two years ago so I stopped and the legpresses are now a must for me, never had low back pains again.

I had to stop squatting too.............never did much for me anyway except eventually fuck up my back.
