Title: "There is no question that the vast majority of Iraqis want us to leave"
Post by: 240 is Back on March 11, 2007, 10:13:43 PM
Zalmay, US Ambassador to Iraq.
on Sunday's Meet the Press.

So if the majority of people want us gone (for him to admit that is huge), the govt wants to take over and start cracking heads, and the majority of US population wants us out...

Why are we still there?

What do you mean?

If we are promoting democracy and if spreading democracy is the reason we allegedly justified our invasion in the absence of WMD's, then if the "majority of Iraqi's want us to leave shouldn't we respect their exercise of democracy and leave?  But we aren't leaving because it's inconvenient for us.  Hence:  "convenient democracy"

ahh.

no one in the bush admin gives a rats ass about the voting practices of 23 million pricks overseas.  And I dont think many americans do either.  we have a messed up healthcare system, and collapsing social security system, and a lagging ed system.  personally, I don't care if a group of people conditioned to a dictatorship try a democracy.  That is their problem.

The 'democracy!' cry is a very weak one.  Yet some people use it because it alleviates their awareness we are indeed conquerers.

Leave the cities.
The govt, police, and population want us out.

Guard the border, bases, and oil pipeline.
