I mean, if one rolls on the other and gets a lesser sentence, do you think they will ever see freedom again?
-
No Way.
-
I think Ryan will if either of the two have a shot.
-
If OJ got away with murder, I think Craig and Kelly could possibly do it too.
I guess that shows ya how much confidence I have in the today's criminal justice system and the "games" that lawyers have a tendency to play.

No.

They both will. They may do 15 years, but they will both be in the free world again. Nevada is a great state to be charged with murder. They don't seem to value life too much, and unless you're a serial killer or child killer, you'll eventually get out.

Really? Years back, I thought they were 1 of the first states to get back into the Death Penalty when the High court
OK'd it again.

Gotta disagree with ya' Tommy Boy...
I think the low end will be 20 years and one of the two of them will never get out. It's just too sinister - this crime. It's not an "Oops we killed someone, and we're not like that" it was a brutal tour de force of cruelty. Just don't know which one will be found more culpable. I actually have thought, because of some other facts I possess and have kept to myself all these years, that Craig may have even done something like this before and gotten away with it. Can't prove it, but wouldn't doubt it. You know I know him dude, and maybe we disagree, but he's a bad, bad man.

Explaining away the BBQ set and lighter fluid is gonna take a magician, not a lawyer.
They got death penalty there? I'd bet on that. This is too ugly.

Nevada has the dp, but the DA has already stated he will not seek it. Ergo; neither defendant can receive death... if convicted.

What in the hell was His Honors reason? Seems wacky.

He may not have the requisite evidence to show that the actual murder was, beyond a reasonable doubt, first degree murder (i.e., not a heat-of-the-moment kind of thing) and therefore eligible for the death penalty.
PS: Judges are traditionally "Your Honor", but DAs aren't, just plain ol' "Mr. DA" . . .

I Overlooked the ovbious again. Still seems a airtight case. I just cant see any story thats going to fly with a jury.
I believe in innocent till proven, but there's now way I could fairly sit on this jury.

I think Kelly could get reduced time, say 5 years.
