Title: recovering from stress fractures questions about cardio
Post by: BadConduct on March 13, 2007, 08:02:21 PM
Yeah about less than a year ago i was diagnosed with a 25% femoral neck  stress fracture.  For those who were in the military you know how much those i started running again but i still feel some soreness the day after and im a lil worried about re fracturing it but i still wanna do cardio.  What would be a safe alternative to running.  I thought about swimming but i always get hungry after swimming to the point where i pig out.  BTW i wanna do cardio to lose fat and get leaner.  Is the elyptical a safe choice? biking?

There have been reported case of people dying from femoral neck stress fracturess where the femur snaps and severs the femoral artery and people bleed out internally in about 10 minuts. id like to avoid that.

thanks for input

If there's a serious risk of injury seek some professional advice, don't rely on what people tell you on a message board...
