Personally, if The Shadow ever hit on me in person like he does on these forums I just may punch him in the throat.
What about you?

I'm not interested in punching anyone.
But I wouldn't mind taking away Robert the Bruce's Barbie collection until he cried to get it back.
-
Pumpster is by far the biggest asshole here.
I'd like to kick shadows ass too, but Im afraid that'd be too easy.
I'd also like to try a hand at greco-roman wrestling with Gtbro1, he seems like a cool guy, and he did wrestling in highschool.
Toxic also needs to be humbled a little bit... since he comes from the moghuls and all, LOL.

Have you seen Toxic's vacation pics? After looking at those it's pretty obvious why he's such a big talker on this site. The guy's 10 pounds of monkey shit stuffed into a 5 pound bag, and his physique shows that.

Why would anyone want to fight anyone from the internet?
Epic realization that this isn't real life.

Some people just don't make that realization.

Haha, I know. Take for example... Derek "Receding Hairline" Anthony. He takes shit so personally and doesn't realize that, OMG, this is the internet.

There is a degee of leniency that is offered ont he internet- you can get away with saying certain things, but this shouldnt be taken as a free pass to say whatever the fvck you want. There is after all a person that sits behind each screenname. We're not lifless post making machines, there are gonna be fights and display of emotions. However, you are right in saying that it shouldnt be taken as seriously as real life. It shouldn't be a distraction in your "real" life.

Jesus is that him LOL ;D

But in the saddest, most easily ridiculed cases, it's the same person. :)

Ha, last time I checked I was still an American citizen and had the right to free speech, which means voicing my opinion. I don't get angry when people on here "own" me, sometimes I walk right into it. But to take it one step further and "challenge" other people that I have never met before in my life is ludicrous. They could be totally different in real life than the way they act here. That's the beauty of the internet.
Secondly, fighing someone in real life because of a comment on the message board is like winning the Special Olympics. Sure you won, but you're still retarded.
-
Jesus is that him LOL ;D
i can assure you its him, a buddy of mine cracked into his harddisk
-
Repeat after me: "The internet is not real life".
Anyone wanting to "fight" someone over message-board postings seriously needs their head examined. ::)
Hope this helps.

Repeat after me: "The internet is not real life".
It's still real to me, dammit! :'(

Freedom of expression does not equal absence of consequences. There's certain things that you and I would agree should not be said, whether in real life or on the internet. All I'm saying is that yes, there's greater leniency when it comes to things you can say on the internet vs real life, BUT there's still limits.
The degree to which how one is affected is by certain comments is a different story altogether. That is an individual thing that will vary from person to person. Ofcourse, it shouldn't be taken as seriously as "real life" matters, and thats why there's room for leniency to begin with.

It shouldn't be taken AT ALL seriously. If internet comments are getting you down or pissing you off, you see that little red "x" in the upper right-hand corner of your screen? Click it. Problem 100% solved! ::)

you're being unrealistic, its PEOPLE interacting. You can't just cut out emotions whenever you want.
-
No, but you can take it with a grain of salt.
Things like "hahaha 'haider' oh man what a name I bet you're the kind of guy that googles 'willing 10 year olds' and furiously faps while looking back and forth from the computer screen to that printed picture of Ahmed from 'musclebears.com'. Hahaha, gayer than men smoking Virginia Slims" are not serious at all.
If people take offense to anything posted on a message board, I wouldn't want to think what their childhood was like.

It's not "people", it's electrons on a screen on a funny little glowing box in my living room.
I hold complete power over them. If they're bothering me, I can make them go away just by clicking an "off" switch.
They have no more substance than the characters in my favorite television show.
While this may not be universal reality, it IS reality from the point of view of each individual poster. People really need to gain some perspective.
-
goatboy, I'd give you a noogie.

hahahahahaha!! You're right about how one SHOULD react to message board comments. I'd disagree however that anything is good to go, theres bound to be things that will offend u in certain ways, even if to small degrees.

If you hold that perspective, then that is one way how u choose to "react" to message board comments. I cant diagree with that.

I agree with everything you said. When you post something on the internet you should know you're being critiqued and judged by people with every kind of opinion you could imagine. So getting "owned" every now and then should not be taken very seriously. A right to become upset and embarassed, perhaps.
Actually, I really don't think it would be necessary for a fight to break out over internet bashings. Shushnant Kapur should receive a nice bitch slap but a punch to the throat is a bit harsh!
