Title: Brock Lesnars debut confirmed
Post by: Scimowser on March 19, 2007, 05:45:14 AM
he will be fighting in K-1 Hero's American debut on June 2nd against Hong Man Choi. For those that havent seen Choi, the guy is a legit 7'2 and weighs over 350 - very intimidating to look at when hes opposite you in the ring. Hes relatively inexperienced but until a couple of weeks ago had never been KO'd. But then Mighty Mo will do that to you no matter how big you are!

Brocks been looking good enough for Dana to take an interest in him and i think if he can use his strength then he may have a very good chance, however if he doesnt know what hes doing and doesnt formulate a solid game plan then he will get KTFO. Its not like he can F-5 this one

I expect Brock to be Mark Coleman part deux: Double-leg + GnP.

Lesnar won't amount to much other than a freakshow type fighter who wins a fight here and there, plus, I heard Matt Hughes is still slapping him around in practice.

I was unaware that he was back with MFS.  He will have drawing power, but that is it.  I don't think it will make much of an impact.  But if K1 Heros makes an American show, Brock will help sell tickets.  I would be more excited to see Kid.  But most of the American market has no idea who he is.

Most of Choi's fights have been under K1 kickboxing rules.

I'm not sure of the rules for the Lesnar fight.

For a giant, Choi has a remarkably proportionate physique. Unless you see him next to a normal-sized person, you wouldn't think he was a 7 footer.

Tim beat Gan Mcgee and Wes Sims who both happen to be taller than him, they also suck.

he brutalised Gan in no time - although Gan did KTFO of Pedro which can be classed as his claim to fame and that takes some doing by any standards. Wes just plain sucks anyway, i would class Tim as the best of the big guys but the standards of them mean it isnt anything to shout about

in sherdog.com Brock's height is 6 feet 2', when he was in wwe they said he was 6 feet 5'

I guess WWE likes to fudge stats to hype a wrestler

Most if not all wrestlers have their stats inflated. Hogan for instance is around 6'5 and was always touted as 6'7

Choi is Korean.  A mutant, but definitely not Japanese.  (Chois is either a Chinese or Korean name)

hes fighting in k1 .... id be surprised if hes fighting for any less than 50k, and given who he is and his enormous wrestling following i would bet its 6 figures
