Throw out certain Iams "wet" canned dinners, for dogs. If you use alpo or Iams kibble you are fine.

Instead of relying on hearsay, actually look at the lists, which are extensive. If you want to be really sure, go only with dry food until this is cleared up, or at least to brands that aren't mentioned.

I called up the local petsmart where I buy my puppy food. Like you said, the kibbles are fine. It is certain "wet" foods that are in question.
