Looking for something new. The basic stuff just doesn't seem to do it for me anymore. I don't burn, but I don't get dark either. I can wear a #4 on a tropical beach and not get burnt or dark, but I used to tan a lot better. Part of it is age I'm sure, and I think some of it is due to diet and supplements. I think antioxidants "protect" the skin. Anyway, does anyone have a favorite that produces a nice glow? :-*

This might be a dumb idea, maybe dilute your sunscreen with a little baby oil?

I know, but it creates atmosphere. Cantharaxan and beta carotine will produce a bit more color, till you turn a lovely alien orange (palms to).
I've Seen they put out a couple of P'Script only tan pills lately. Anyone know a guinea Pig who'se tried it?

I've spent lots of time workin' in sun. I dont think any lotions/oils make a difference except for how long till you burn.
I tend to use #50 'cause I'm going to cook all day.

I like Bain de Soliel Luminescence #4 because it has very subtle sparkles in it but I can't find it anymore. Last time I used it (about 4 weeks ago) I didn't get much color at all either :-\

you can use pure tanning oil... no block at all .... or try some baby oil... especially if you already have a good base tan.. One other thing try one of the tanning accelerators they use at tanning booths.

go to a doctor..tell him you r vacationing near the equator..Dan duchaine wrote about this drug once in his ask the guru column and i'm brainfarting on the name..1 injection and you'll be as dark an an injun..it speeds up melatonin production...and is used EXACTLY for really pale people that are visiting tropical areas..
if the name pops into my head i'll post it..

This stuff is still in the experimental stages AND requires a needle :-X

I like the Maui Babe lotion. The consistency is kind of weird (it's a bit sticky), but gives AWESOME color. If you have enough of a base tan to use something without sunscreen, it may be what you're looking for.

if ya tell yer doc skin cancer runs in the family and you r vacationing near the equator he'll give ya a script ..and it'll make ya dark..
.i read up on it back then and asked Dan a few question via e-mail..
(of course since it increases your sentitivity to sunlight you'll wanna use it ..get dark and then make sure you r not exposed to too much sunlight for a few weeks..not to worry though..yourtan wont disappear for a few months ) <-- that about paraphrases what i learned from dan about this drug..

Well, then this stuff has been around quite awhile. Thats one of my criteria before I take anything. Not into newly released medications.

Before Using This Medicine
Trioxsalen is a very strong medicine that increases the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight. In addition to causing serious sunburns if not properly used, it has been reported to increase the chance of skin cancer and cataracts. Also, like too much sunlight, PUVA can cause premature aging of the skin. Therefore, trioxsalen should be used only as directed and it should not be used simply for suntanning.

I think I'll stick to the Maui Babe. I bought some of that last time I was there but couldn't stand how it felt and threw it out. I didn't know it was good stuff :-\ I guess I'll have to order online.

I'm not ready to go that far ...
They have tested the product on human beings and there are minimum to none side effects. There is a company developing a under the skin device which releases a minimum of Melanotan a day and works for a whole year. It also protects people from skin cancer so they want to prescribe the stuff to people from Australia etc. It seems to me that this product is way better then the one Toxic suggested even if you have to stick yourself with a insulin needle... :-\

(It was his dream, i guess he was mentally sick or something. He also moved to africa as a sheep herder.)

I think i saw something similar on the Oprah show....they gave him some pill and he went black in a day or two...you should have seen the white people react to him when he asked the time... :o

He wrote a book about his experiences "Black Like Me".
ps - I think he also developed some deadly complications from having done that which prematurely ended his life.

I love the Hawaiian Tropic Cocoa Butter. It's kinda thick but it leaves your skin really soft, smells good, and you tan really well. It's fun to have someone rub it on your back!
