And I'll tell ya what, when they kick in, I'm gonna Deadlift 225x150 times! Naw just jokin my deadlifting days are pretty light after I had 2 discs shaved off 5 years ago. Oh no, I might not be considered a natural now, FCuk it, the pain in my lower back from sitting at my desk all day is unbearable. I might ask the doc to shoot some in the muscle too if it is possible. The funniest thing, my back feels better when I train, its the sitting that is destroying me.
Anyone else here had cortisone in their back?

So it did relieve some pain? For how long?

Ive had 3 in each heel and 4 in each knee. They work so good its unbelievable. You feel brand new! That being said, it is of course is temporary. I am also thinking of getting my back hit due to severe pain.

Shoulder also, works like a charm..... Only masking the problem though, pound glucosamine\chondrotin...

Hope the pain gets better in your back for the time being... you'll have to do it again in a few months though, and cortisone shots are catabolic as HELL, so watch your cortisol levels or you will be left without a back period ;D

Thanks for the info, I'll take that to heart. You are quite correct with that statement.

Have you done any physical therapy for it?

Have you had a lumbar MRI done? If you have severe herniated disks, a microdisectiomy helped, the cortisone did not help at all until I had that surgery.

Yeah, I had a bunch of them, one of them worked like magic, and I went out and over did it and made it worse. The rest of them didn't do too much. The process is a little uncomfortable, ya know a needle in your spine, one time the guy kept hitting my nerve with the needle and I wanted to kill him, but overall it is not too bad. Hope it works.

What the hell kind of Doc gives a person 3 cortisone injections in one day, it's usually 3 maybe 4 per year max!
-
the 3 injection thing is something different... it is not cortizone... i got the cortisone 2-3x now.. it hurts during the injection.. hurts a until couple days after.. and wears off pretty quick.. and doesn't even mask the pain that much...
overall not worth it.

The same kind of doc that will prescribe "hormone replacement theropy" to a 280 pound bodybuilder.

Everything under the sun. Working out isn't really how I hurt it, that makes me feel better. It's sittin at my desk at work for 10hrs a day for several years straight in shiiity chair. My chair now is from The Back Store, $1600 bucks and worth every penny. Phys therapy, chiropractic, didn't work, I had surgery, that worked, but took 2 years to heal.
Update, this mornig I have pain the level 4 on 10. usually its 8 of 10.
