Title: Starting another cycle
Post by: clayton green on March 24, 2007, 05:54:18 AM
I am currently on my first cycle, sustanon, after 20 plus years of lifting.  I was wondering once I go off the cycle, about 8-10 weeks, would it be ok to go on another cycle for cutting without taking any time off.

Thanks for your help!

The longer you stay on , the longer to get back a good natural Test level. This is a blanket statment, but length of time on does have an effect for most.
Are you as massive as you want?  If you go cuting into new mass, you wont be that much biger than you started. What is your goal?  If you been lifting 20 yrs you got some miles on you, no young puppy.
Prolly want to avoid too much harsh stuff.
If you only want to harden up and not add size you can back down on the aromatizing stuff that causes the most recovery problems. But, Thats exactly the stuff that makes guy big strong and bloated.

When I started over 20 years ago I was 135 lbs.  I have been training naturally for all this time and only have been on AS for a week and have noticed a difference. Currently I am 45 yrs, 5'8", currently at 215 lbs.  I have good size for my age  but would like to get up to 230-240 lbs.  I plan on staying  on the sustanon cycle for another 9 weeks and after that would like to see my abs for the first time in my life.  I know that diet/low body fat is the primary competent to the having good abs but 2 years ago I was at 170, 30" waist but still no abs.

Any recommendation on sets and reps per bodypart and days a week to train?  the past year I have been doing the 5 sets 5 reps, one exercise per body part and working out three days a week.  It brought me good strength and size gains for being natural but my source is recommending that I train five days per week one bodypart per day.  I don't want to overtrain or undertrain, just maximize my gains on my first cycle.

How about:
4 on - 2 off
1-2 bodyparts a day
4 exercises per musclegroup
2 sets per exercise for smaller groups like bis, tris
3 sets for bigger ones like chest, back, legs etc.
reps 7-12
should not take more than 45-60 mins.
fast pace, no fucking around...

Good luck.

Thanks, I will  give it  a try and keep you posted.  This forum is great.  Everyone so far seems not to mind to give advice to  newbies like me.  There is nothing like getting advice from someone who has been there and done that!

yhou can def. do more sets, no offense to the other guy, but one thing that ive experienced is to tkae advantage of being on and training!!!  for larger groups, bump the sets to 15 or so, and for the smaller ones, set them around 12 sets and eat to grow, not TO MAINTAIN!! watch the carbs, very high prtein and moderate fats, high in healthy fats. keep the reps 8-12, occiasionally going heavy but for the most part, stay in 8-10!!! you should grow and enjoy

Personally I train 2 days on 1 off, and I like it.  Ive always responded better to high volume, doing around 12 total sets per muscle, with reps in the 8-10 range.  I usually like to finish my last set for the muscle group with a vicious drop set to failure

If what you've already been doing has produced quality gains, then continue doing that. The point of AAS is to aid in what you are already doing right.

Another 10wks of sust is not going to hurt anything while dieting...if anything it will help you maintain what gains you've made while in a caloric deficit...that's the point of AAS while dieting.
