I give to the Big East, Gtown put it to the tarheels in ovetime. UNC went cold, couldn't hit anything, except rim.

Enjoy the gift while it lasts.

Not being a football school, you guys will cringe as the NCAA manufactures a semi-final win for Ohio St, even though Georgetown is the better team.

Gift my ass.

They busted their ass and earned that victory. They showed undeniable will to come back from that deficit and force overtime. Carolina couldn't maintain or match Georgetown's intensity down the stretch.

Absolutely psyched about this matchup with Ohio State!

Hibbert versus Oden. Absolutely kick ass! I predict a classic when this game happens.

I'm going with the Hoyas.

Ditto, I give credit where credit is due. G-town had heart, UNC should be ashamed of themselves.
I have to go with G-town, I can't stand Florida, can't stand Noah, who I think will go no where in the NBA, like Joe Smith.

Are you kidding?

Carolina gift-wrapped that one for you.

If I'm coaching, I see to it that you don't even get enough possessions to make up a 10-point deficit.

Sure, they had heart, but in a game like this against that opponent, I don't care.

Losing is what happens when you play stupid and playing stupid is something no team can afford to do in the NCAA tournament, ever.

And although every fan in the world will disagree, only a head coach has the power to allow stupid play from his guys and that's exactly what Roy Williams did...in his best Coach K impression.

6'10 center from Maryland. I don't know where he is playing now. But he was too light and short for a NBA center. Had some Nasty two handed-dunks in the NCAA's.

True, and quite funny.

Win's a win. Moot point.

Georgetown's in. Carolina's out.

Deal with it.

I had the final four called. I got all the women at the office to pitch in 10 bucks for the bracket. None of the guys wanted to, so had to go with the women. It was easy money one of them called george washington and another one had like gonzaga and notre dame in the four. So after the four the moneys mine and I'm laughing the whole time. They said next year they want 20 and that they are gonna win.. haha Women....

What did unc change for ot? They lost the game playing the same way they where winning it. They could not knock down a shot in ot. They missed everything they put up. I am not going to say unc did not have that game won, but they also could not hit anything in ot for the life of them. Not really a shock they lost playing like they did in overtime.

Deal with it.

ACC basketball fans deal with things differently than other people who 'claim' to be fans of their teams.

The real problem in the ACC right now is the infiltrators from the Big East.

Even though I historically 'hate' teams like Georgetown and Syracuse, ACC people have always respected Big East basketball.  This dates back to the early days of your made-for-TV conference.

The thugs from the Big East should never have been allowed in.  The ACC made a huge mistake when it tried to become a football conference and we're going to be paying for that for decades to come.  Mark these words.

I had the final four called.

Ironically, this is the first year I've ever gotten all Final Four teams correct (single bracket) and I am PISSED! (even though I'm going to win cash if either Georgetown or UCLA wins on Saturday)

I would rather have been completely wrong and poised to win nothing.

It is working a Little bit for Maryland's Football program, but yeah I kinda agree. I always wondered why G-town was not a ACC team, being that it is about 30 minutes or less from College Park,MD
Syracuse, remember....when Syracuse lost to the Richmond Spiders, that was like the biggest upset in NCAA history.

Well Duke was a 5th seed, and was beaten by scrubby NC State twice, and by Maryland twice. They usually lose to MD once and win the second. So Duke being beat by a lower seed in the Tournament wether it is in the first round or second, was foreseeable.

Yeah, but we're talking a CAA team... Has a CAA team ever won in the first round?

OH wait... Mason last year... They had a GREAT year last year... my bad.

Not as big as what they did last year... no way, no how.

However, as a VCU alum, I'm gonna be a bit biased to their greatness.

No need to take a shot at me. I never claimed to be a Hoyas fan. I'm all about the Terps, who laid an egg against Butler. But it's nice to see the Hoya program rebound so strongly in recent years. I also can't stand North Carolina or Duke. The Terps enjoyed beating the piss out of them all season so they both can suck a dick.

Also, why are players from the Big East thugs? I don't see your point. The NCAA is all about making money, period. And the schools who elected to move to a different conference did so by their own choice in the matter. Know why? Money.

Don't be pissed because the Tar Heels choked. You guys won a national title two years ago and far exceeded anyone's expectations that year. Time for a new regime. The ACC might be the best conference in the country but not according to the current brackets.

No no - it wasn't personal against you, man.  It's a symptom of having lived in southern California for so long - the 'sports fans' here suck, at best.

I'm a Maryland alum. :)

I have nothing against Boston College or Virginia Tech - both are fine institutions, but neither belong in the ACC.

My real beef is with Miami and although the presidents who supported the move will never admit it, they rue the day that they decided to bring in Miami.

The problem with college sports is definitely the NCAA and the bigger problem nationwide is that so few people realize that.  The NCAA needs to be exposed for what it really is - a plantation master.

Tu, the reason why I asked is that I think I  pass VCU on 81 or 220 when going to visit family.

I also think that letting other teams in the ACC, has both diluted the talent, and improved the breed. Now, you have more than just Maryland, Duke, UNC, Wake, NC State, Clemson, Va, Florida State, beating up on one another, but you have other teams coming in and improving their game because they have to match the gold standard (UNC, DUKE). Now, MD is not looked on as a underdog, like they used to be back as late as 2001.

But giving up the home-and-home games each season is what has ruined the conference.  That's what always made every season so special - the chance to avenge a big road loss at home or vice-versa.
