Bourne is ok, ...but I have a hard time getting over Matt Damon's clean cut milk & cookies face.
I picture him living in Salt Lake City somewhere raising a family like a good little Mormon boy.
I'm partial to Bond... Pierce Brosnan Bond.

Bond, he knew his limits, scored endless amounts of chicks, had sweet gadgets and impeccable class & taste.

The Bourne movies are uncommonly good. But the character is a cipher. I don't think anyone would ever say "Women want to fuck him and men want to be him."
So Bond, definitely. I grew up with Moore, think Dalton is underrated, and give props to Connery. But Craig owns the role now, as far as I'm concerned.

Bourne, knew how to fight. Bond relied to much on gadgets, and in the real world one one can't do that. Bond was more superficial and tended to be very jingoist and the movies tended to have a light undercurrent of nationalist xenophobia running thru them. WIth Bourne, he was supposed not just trained, but brainwashed into just doing the job, not the girl and the job.

The torture and threats of torture were far too excessive imo. They'll have to do better next time.
ps - ...although I did like that wet shirt in the shower. That was very nice. :P
I still would have preferred Gerard Butler in the role though.
He would have made a good morph of the Moore Bond, the Brosnan Bond, and the Connery Bond :)

Just watched Casino Royale again last night and I'm impressed Bond needed a new modern look, and modern ploy, it was not done over the top. Casino Royale is what will keep Bond going. Bourne could get old fast, afterall he did kill off all the other treadstone projects so it's just him now, The Bourne Ultimatum plot sounds kinda dull, well see.

James Bond is the best. I always looked at my uncle Bernie as a James Bond type. Divorced with two kids and filfthy rich. My parents thought he went overbaord on everything he did. He kept in awesome shape when younger, smoked cigarettes with a filter on the end. Fancy cars and hot chicks. I remember going over one day and my cousin meeting me in the driveway as I pulled up on my Sting-Ray. He had a Playboy with him and he opened it up and said "this girl is laying out at the pool with no top on" we ended up climbing on the roof and looking down at her. I think that was my first sighting of real tits (besides my mom's). But, he lead an exciting life like Bond and was in shape and good looking and rich. That is my James Bond story. No I never met any of them I don't think.

Agreed. Bourne would kill bond in 27 different ways while memorizing 312 license plates.
I like the latest bond the best though. A bit more hardcore, less "suave" than the previous ones. Maybe it would have been better if they had just made him a different 00. Like 008 or something.
To me, he's not really James bond.

I just realized I do have a James Bond connection, even it was for only week. Kristina Wayborn starred in Octopussy. Here we are in Boca Raton at a tennis tournament we played in. I knew I had a connection but just remembered it

There will be only one more Bourne film: the Bourne Ultimatum out later this year. Bourne is good and for realism it is the better franchise.
Bond is the more entertaining franchise but unrealistic and often cartoonish.
Doom approves of both.

Well I know for sure she was never a man. We actually played against each other in the finals in front of a packed house of about 5,000 people. My pro was Nels Van Patton and her was Bjorn Borg (did I already mention that, sorry). But anyway it was fun that game. Borg embarrased the shit out of me.

I watched Casino Royale last night and it, predictably, was a bag-o-shite.
Started off well with James drowning someone in a sink and then after that it was the usual Bond crap.
Bourne's not much better either.
In conclusion, Bauer would bite both their throats out without breaking a sweat.
