This should put to rest any doubt about his credentials as a Republican. ::)

I don't mind. There are people far less qualified to be on a chiropractic panel.. As long as things are getting done then that is all that matters and Arnold is all about that.

I suppose he could put Lou in charge of overseeing state compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
"No no, da ramp needs to go obah heeh!"

Wait a second... So Franco, who is a Chiropractor... and he's on a chiropractic panel.
I see no issue with this. It's someone he knows who has qualifications for the job.
Sounds completely different than a horse guy running FEMA.
-
It's someone he knows who has qualifications for the job.
It's someone who has lesser qualifications than hundreds if not thousands of other people... but who was best man at Arnold's wedding.
And whose salary will be paid for by the tax dollars of the Californians who elected Arnold to deal with the state's financial mismanagement.
Hope this helps.

you're doing a heckuva job, brownie...

I would think Frank Zane - a former teacher himself. ;D

Keep striving and someday you may join the 10% of us who were able to get our jobs on merit. :)

That is the way of the nomenclatura, the Old Commie Russia. The only way to make a career was through contacts, through the Party.
But that is not the American Way. The American Way: Do it yourself, self-made, void of any "helping hands".
The great American Tradition, at least.

Most people get a job because their friend works there, or someone else recommended them... Networking is how corporate america works.

In theory, yes, this is correct. But, in reality, it is not what you know, but who you know. This is one of the main reasons why we still need affirmative action in this country.

Yeah, and you'll always be part of that 10% working for someone else...who got his job from his fraternity brother or old college roommate. ;)

Thats how I got every job I liked. The only reason I left those were because I met someone else who got me a better job then the last.

of course you don't mind. You don't live in CA or even America for that matter. The issue as stated in the article is Arnold is under the impression that the chiro board is working in the interest of the doctors when it's really to protect the consumer

You're making this political, when it's not.
Given a choice between the known and the unknown, almost everyone will go with the known. That's the whole point of Networking: making yourself known.
I don't see a problem unless the hired person is incompetent. Franco has been a chiropractor for many years, and I would think that with Arnold's resources, he would have a dentist who knows his sh!t.
