Hillary Clinton (D-NY) has already started her 2008 presidential campaign by aligning herself with the military and pretending to be tough on terror. Fortunately, the ultra-liberal Hillary has yet to brainwash all of the voting public in to believing that her symbolism is really substance. Many have never forgotten that when she was co-president for eight years she was quoted as saying: "I loathe the military."
The picture shows that this soldier has been thru Survival School and learned his lessons well. He's giving the sign of "coercion" with his left hand. These hand signs are taught in survival school to be used by POW's as a method of posing messages back to our intelligence services who may view the photo or video. This guy was obviously being coerced into shaking hands with Hillary Clinton. It's ironic how little she knew that he would so inform us about the photo---perhaps because she's never understood our military to begin with.

Clinton is a lot of things.
But she's not ultra-liberal.
If anything, she could be considered a conservative Democrat these days, trying to please the swing voters.
Out of all the current realistic Democratic President candidates, John Edwards is the one who stands out as most radical or whatever you want to call it.

Nice try. But his budgets are cutting veterans prescription drug benefits while increasing money for abstinence programs. Plus inadequate body armor 4 years into combat. [We can leave the draft-dodging discussion for another time.] Yes, I'm afraid that Chimpy McFlightsuit has made his feelings for his cannon fodder very clear.
That said, I'm willing to acknowledge that vet hospitals have been a disgrace for decades - through the administrations of both parties.

That's a great point. It was the Clintons back in the '90s that effectively destroyed the democratic party's fidelity to the common working man. By courting corporate interests over and to the excluxion of the interests of blue collar america, they practically drove middle america into the arms of the republicans.
By this I mean, the democratic party disenfranchised the middle class voters on economic issues. The republicans utilized social issues like abortion, homosexuality, religiosity, illegal aliens to warm up to these disenfranchised people.
The true work of genius of the republican power play was to convince middle class america that economic circumstances in light of the free market are as inevitable as the tides. Therefore the republican economic policy which crushes unions, defangs anti-trust laws, emasculates any business regulation and lowers or destroys progressive income tax rates was portrayed as a fact of economic life for every american. If you're feeling disenfranchised, then gosh darn it take action on these social issues imposed upon you by nefarious liberals, activist judges and hollywood actors.

I think Bush does..I'm not sure about the rest of em. I find it ridiculous that MM gets attacked for mis attributing a quote to the right Clinton. There are plenty of stories from early in the Clinton administration about poor treatment of military personel in the Whitehouse by staffers and Clinton appointee's There are also current stories of Mrs Clinton trying to curry favor with military leaders in anticipation of a being president. I don't mind her. I met her and shook her hand. She looked right at me and asked me how I was doing. It was then I got from any of the other folks traveling with her.
