Laziest bodybuilder in life. :-X
Also, perhaps one of the most genetically gifted responders to pro bodybuilding in life.
My review of his workout here:
http://www.bodybuildingpro.com/battlefortheolympia2006dvdreview.html
I had no problems tearing his joke of a workout apart.
well vince really enjoys his workouts alot..he is always smiling when hes working out
-
That's some weird ass shit right there :o

Saw Vince Taylor this past weekend in Michigan. Great guy to talk with ... very friendly ! Oh ... AND THOSE CALVES !!! He put on a good show for us !
-
Interesting comment from Vince about old school techniques on modern machines. I see what he means. For instance you never see people bend over 90 degrees at the waist on T-bar rows anymore. I haven't been a bodybuilding fan for as long as most of you, but I've never seen someone bend 90 degrees at the waist other than video's pre-90's.
And he's got some great calves for a black guy.

Awesome physique, and he obviously knows what works for him.
Just reminds me of one of those old guys that come in the gym and cannot figure out how to correctly use any of the machines.
-
No wonder he's all arms, the way he does the movements doesn't seem to focus to hard on his main body parts like back. :-\
-
I was waiting for this one. Thanks, Shadow.
-
Showing his long bbing Experience.Interesting workout.
-
I would also enjoy my workouts a lot if I did them with the intensity of a kitten chasing a ball of yarn. ;D
In all seriousness, his easy workouts have given him some great results and the best longevity of any bodybuilder of his caliber in the history of bodybuilding.
Speaking of Kitten's..... Wasn't he injured before one the Olympia's...becuase he twisted his ankle after chasing a cat? I seriously remember this, his ankle being bandaged up. Anyhow, if this is really how he REALLY trains... WOW!. This is the sort of stuff that will give young guys the idea that juice & No Effort = Results. We may not admire Ronnie for his prolific speeches, but we sure as hell admire him for his brutal workouts.
-
thats the worst bfto segment ive ever seen....
-
So that's how Vince Taylor trains, eh?
He does some of the most bizarre exercises... I guess whatever works. But what's up with the "kitten weight"?
I'm surprised Planet Fitness let someone like Vince [pro bodybuilder] come in and start posing as anal as that place is about their rules. ::)

FVCKIN SHADOW !!! Good looking out bro!
Thank you..

Bingo! I like what he was doing with that hammer strength lat pulldown, I'm gonna try it for my next back workout, seems like he really got those hard to hit parts of his back moving.
-
Thanks Shadow!!
All I have to say about that is, interesting. I'd be interested in buying his training video if he came out with one. He should also be a regular co-host with bob and dan!! Great personality, something hard to find in the world of bodybuilding.
-
i have bfto 2006 this.. by far was the strangest segment on the dvd...
vince looks great ...
and amazing for 50
...
-
Vince looks phenomenal and seems like a very nice guy in the video but you're right this guy trains like a 9 year old girl, crazy exercises too like grabbing the chest supported T bar by the bar with two hands while standing in front of it and rowing it, really weird.
-
The "intensity" of Vince Taylor is such a reminisce of Flex Wheeler's.
-
I've seen more intensity in a bowel movement, than in Vince's segment on the BFTO!

Nothing lazy about how Vince trains. He is very methodical and intelligent in his training. He uses each set as a prelude to the others gradually getting more intense which leads up to the last most intense set. He is working the muscle and not his ego. Some of you guys on here need to pay closer attention.

Actually, I think he just wants us to believe that. :) And I think some or even most will just because of his pro status and career success.
I honestly think Vince just goes to the gym and does "whatever".

Not sure if I understand exactly what you mean, but Vince has always trained that way. I have known more than one guy who has trained in the same gym as him. A friend of mine trained in the same gym as Vince back in the early 90's. Vince does a lot of basic moves and he is always trying to find ways to isolate the muscle by experimenting with different movements and sometimes as shown by using a machine in a different way it was intended.

Come on man, are you serious? Look, I'm sure they're all sorts of aspects to bodybuilding that "we" the fans don't quite get. But don't bullshit me on what seems to be a guy who is genetically superior..in terms of bodybuilding, and who who is generating little to no physical effort. I know you're a well respected individual in bodybuilding, but don't tell me a guy who changes hand position during movement, because the weight is so light he can do that sort of thing..., as if he's holding a bat or a stick…., that he's training with such intensity that I don't see it. Can you say..MEOOOOOOOWWWW.

I can't take it anymore, I watched about 5 mins of this and almost fell asleep..........he proved my point when I say todays pro don't train hard anymore...........jeez!!

I'm not bullshitting you man. You've never seen someone change the grip midstream in an exercise before? Granted it's not likely to be done in a latter set when it's gettin heavier, but t hat it no reason to think that he is not training intensely. Just because someone is not screaming their head off and bouncing around a shit load of weight that is too heavy for them doesn't mean that they are not being intense. As far as genetic superiority, that's a MEOOOOOOOOWWWWW excuse for those who can't or won't check their ego at the gym door.

Disgusted, I was only joking about the "Meoow" comment, I'm sorry man. Anyways, I'm not some dip-shit who goes to the gym screaming my balls off while lifting. There was a time even for myself, where I would get really annoyed during bench, and shift my hands a little….That's stupid, I know..but I'm always concerned about the contraction....I'm all about form/range…and all that great stuff… But He honestly doesn't appear to be focusing on contraction or range... Dude I don't know man… I'm relaying what I'm seeing. You're still the greatest!

I know you were joking bro. ;D Look at your last sentence, no not the I'm the greatest ;D before that. What you see is not what Vince is feeling. He has been training longer than most of us are old. He knows how to contract his muscles to the fullest to get the most out of the weight that he is using, very similar to Serge Nubret. All of us can learn a lot from these guys. We just need to keep an open mind and be willing to learn. A lot of people ask me how I learned what I do, one of the most important things you can do is to listen and keep an open mind. Experiment and do what feels right FOR YOU. Learn the basics first and then use what you have learned to find out what exercises you respond best to.
-
Dude...you need to get on the program.... Alright man, I got some questions, I'll PM ya..if you don't mind!!!!! Oh yeah, you're still the Greeeeeeateesssttttt!!!!

Oh my God just reading some of these post shows three things age, level of training and true understanding of bodybuilding and the physique......All this crap about kitty workout......lifting massive weights...first and foremost he is a bodybuilder which the majority of you can barely say compared to him even myself....observe the list of competition MIT's provided at the start of the segment. Next he does what works for him not you....if your more than kitten workout is the way lay your pic right next to any of Vince's for us to see..... ::)....next, to lift massive weights is not definitive of a bodybuilder......its the final work on stage that judges look for.....only in power lifting are the judges looking at weight and technique......so this whole crap about Vince's workout is kitty.......he has sandows, hell we don't even know who the hell you are....but a wanna be bodybuilder...and that goes out to all you little girls who feels that his workout was BS...you should have learned a thing or two. :-X No wounder the educational system in America is Fucked up!
-
awesome, good to see Vince train how he wants to without regard to what people think, it obvious works for the guy, bizarre movements!
-
The most abnormal workout i've ever seen :P
-
on a lighter note did anyone see the hot little brunette MILF who talked to Vince during his "workout"?
-
hmmm....I found that pretty interesting actually. I think Vince actually looked at the movements and found a way to put himself at the best position to get the most out of each machine...if that makes sense. He actually thought about each movement instead of just sitting down and going and hoping the machine would get the job done. Very interesting, I really liked some of the things he did..I don't know if I'd do them myself but they're worth considering.
