Title: Battle for the Olympia: Kevin Levrone Vs. Matt C
Post by: McFarland on April 09, 2007, 10:03:02 AM
Interestingly enough, both Kevin Levrone and Matt C currently weigh in at 190 pounds, 25 weeks out from the 2007 Mr. Olympia.  Spurred on by Getbig-notable gh15's prediction of a likely 35-plus pound muscular bodyweight gain from his first steroid cycle, Matt C, like Levrone, has recently voiced a tentative interest in high-level IFBB competition later this year.  Discuss.

Building new muscle is entirely different from re-building tissue.

Now your reaching Jeff ;D.  How much does muscle memory play a factor?

Neat! :)

I like Matt a lot, but he wouldn't take Kevin.  Matt's fairly lean at 190, but the result of a mostly muscular 35+ pound gain would, nonetheless, see him somewhat smoother.  I just don't see him going up that much in bodyweight whilst leaning up to contest condition; that'd be more like a 50 lb. shift in LBM.  Not going to happen in 25 weeks.

If you wanted to get Matt as competitive as he could be in 25 weeks, I would say get him super-lean first.  Then try to hold the bodyfat in check during the "mass" cycle(s), and reserve a few weeks at the end to tweak the bodyfat if needed.

no offense to matt c. but I don't think just going on a cycle is gonna get him up to Levrone's level.  He's gonna need someone to help with diet, training, prep....everything.  Levrone has his eggs in his basket so to speak.  He knows exactly what he has to do to get to a certain point, I don't think Matt C does.  Again no offense, this post could apply to anyone who thinks going on a cycle is gonna automatically get you to the national level....there's a bit more to it than that..or so I've been told.

Bump for Matt C's #### ass to start injecting 3 grams a week of shit + gh and insulin cold turkey in hopes of being the best in the world.

We're not talking about the NATIONAL level, natural al - we're talking about the MR. OLYMPIA level!

Top three in the world baby.  ;D

My logic is simple: Kevin and I are both 190ish pounds.  Wouldn't this stand to reason that if I go on his bulking regiment that I could also enter the Olympia and place top 3-6?  ??? ;D

Kevin and I are about the same height.  He walked right past me at that Arnold and I could have sworn he was 3/16ths of an inch taller than me.

All jokes obviously, but still puts things in perspective of the extent of Levrone's transformation doesn't it?

MARYLAND MUSCLE MACHINE!

Come on....this is like Shaq vs. Gary Coleman in a dunk competition and Kevin is Shaq.

matt C,

seriously, you would be the perfect test subject for a gh15 transformation.  16 weeks of eating and hormonizing like he orders.  You would look like a new man, and it'd be a great thing for getbig and your own forum.

30 lbs of muscle is impossible in a short period of time...  if you were to gain that much in less than a year it would be 85% water 10% muscle tissue and 5% pustules

You look good Matt.  I guess it would depend on how you respond to gear.  We all know how Kevin does...extremely well.

LOL what a joke, Matt you are a good guy but there is no chance in hell you will come closer. Levrone has something called muscle memory. He has already built his muscle over the years and has a superior response to hormones. I think on hormones your end result will be 15lbs heavier max after all the water is gone.

Building new muscle is entirely different from re-building tissue.

Is this true?  Explain as I have never heard before, please.

"End result" being after one cycle?  Or after like 5 years' worth of multiple cycles?

why in the hell do you need gear or juice..........do it natural............if you cant weigh 250 natural and swole, then you dont even need to take juice buddy............get a grip, why you gonna rely on drugs for anything.
