Our sport is fading, the golden era of bodybuilding was decades ago, the 90's are finished... the fans and competitors get older and older every year... the importance of "muscle maturity" (long term gear use) is stressed more heavily then ever b4... the freak show is taking over... it seem inevitable that BB will return to the carnivals it spawned from...
the hero's you guys grew up with, the ideals that they valued have been all but forgotten... todays judging system seems so rotten and stale its nauseating... Jaw Gutler is 8 months into his Olympia reign and hasnt spoken a word, so much for saving BB... the curse of bodybuilding has always been Vanity, its all about #1
you guys are the future decision makers in the sport, with internet radio gaining popularity your pull is stronger everyday... without changing the mainstream perseption of Bodybuilding the sport is doomed... its only a matter of time b4 a Mr. O is locked up, or the government enforces drug tests....
wheres the vision... wheres the youth!...... short term even.... where will this sport be in 5 years!?
i pray REDLINE does well and Levrone can pull this off

Yeah, that "goodwill ambassador" stuff seems to have taken a back seat to cramming his face full of orange roughy. :)
But let's cut the guy some slack. Public speaking - hell, any kind of speaking - isn't really his forte.

"Sport"

It will be nowhere, its only a matter of time before the government sinks its teeth into the one sport that absolutely depends on steroids. They are already crushing the loose pharmacy's and exposing athletes, pro wrestlers, and bbers, they will soon target these people and start putting them in jail.

I think it will literally be in the same spot. Still dependant on supplements, still struggling with taking bodybuilding from a niche audience to the mainstream, and worse yet more drug dependant. I also predict we come closer to seeing a 5'8 400 pounder at contest time.

hopefully the craving for a freakish physique will disappear and bodybuilders with nice and reasonably attainable bodies will take over like it was back in the day. this is wishful thinking though, and will never happen.

I agree with this guy. This Nostradamus type of thing, apocaliptic retoric is non sense. How many times an 'expert' was called out to spill the beans about how would he see bb in 5 years from now, and all of them had not so overwhelming predictions, and look at it now: the sport is still live and strong.
Yes, there will be a host of top guys still going down because of drug busts, but nothing that will shut down the sport forever. Money makes the world go round, fellas!

hopefully bigger guts
