Post by: The Squadfather on April 10, 2007, 03:54:12 PM
can a heavy workout AND a lighter giant set workout be done in the same week, for instance my legs tend to only be sore for maybe 3 days and then i feel i can train again no matter how hard the workout was, with sufficient food and rest can it be done?

YES, IT CAN.

You can alternate the workouts...also you can pick 1-2 heavy compound exercises in the beginning of the workout and than finish of with 1-2-3...-101 ;D giant sets...

how many go arounds of the supersets can be done if a few heavy sets have already been done at the start of the workout?

Everything depends of your normal volume...
If you train 4-5 exercises per body part - do 2 heavy and than do 1 or 2 rotations of giant sets (maybe 6-10 exercises each)

Be creative

Look which part of your chest needs most work (upper, middle, lower, inner, outer...I know it will be discussions about this but YES - you can change the shape of your muscle according to exercises you pick and applied stimulation)
You can do mix - pressing than flying move, and change angles...

We do;
1- Cable cross
2- dips
3- Incline flys
4- Barbell Bench
5-Incline barbell
6- Decline barbell
7- Flat flys
8- Smith Incline

Often we do much more - including all Hammer Chest machines....

I am working with a natural with some very good potential right now.  We are getting him ready for a show in June.  His routine uses the conjugate method by rotating heavy movements by body part weekly.  We are also varying the intensity of effort by performing a HIT style pre-exhaustion, double pre-exhaustion one week followed by a more traditional straight set workout the next (by body part).

You guys should remember in the end it all doesn't matter because training is training. The muscle is stimulated regardless. The only difference is the intensity and how much calories you will burn with different work outs.

Should I follow advice from Milos Sarcev or Buttsuck?  That's a tough one.

You are an idiot. As adonis says you are not above science. It is common knowledge. I will develop my credentials in time.

You haven't been reading my posts.  On other threads I have been criticizing those who overly compliment Milos' giant sets training to the extent that it's better than any other method.

I try and go to the NOC every year. But honestly I think things are changing and YOUR time is now. I believe bodybuilding is about symmetry AND size not bloated guts. You have the look that people wanna see, what show are you considering?

Milos,
One more freebie question regarding your training? ;D

Is this giant set style gearing towards conditioning or building? What changes would you make to it if you used it to build?

Thanks.
