Title: Red Cross: Humanitarian situation in Iraq worsening
Post by: ribonucleic on April 11, 2007, 09:33:24 AM
This is kind of a "Well, duh" story. But I post it knowing that any mention of either the Red Cross [those bleeding hearts  >:(] or humanitarian concerns [who asked them to live in our war zone anyway?] will piss off the righties on the board.  ;D

--------------------------------

The suffering of Iraqi civilians is worsening and there is no sign yet that a security crackdown in Baghdad is bringing relief, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said on Wednesday.

Hospitals were stretched to the limit by daily mass casualties, malnutrition was on the rise and power shortages were becoming more frequent around the country, the relief agency said.

"The humanitarian situation is steadily worsening and it is affecting, directly or indirectly, all Iraqis," the ICRC said.

The Iraqis are eating ice cream and going to the amusement park. The Red Cross must be mistaken in making that statement, clearly they don't see all the carefree ice cream and cotton candy eating that's going on.

This is why a story of an Amusement park opening isn't really "good" news.

It's not about party politics.  It's about people suffering and the USA not getting the job done there.

Well, if anything this war has become a breeding ground for suicide bombers.

Another of the long line of negative effects from a MONSTER bad decision on BUSH's part.

As long as the US remains, ...that just might happen. How much despair must one feel to do something like that?
Doesn't sound like the Disney World, cotton candy and ice cream is having an effect.

like I told Jag, it has to be a miserable life when all you do is search the web for bad news in the world. I have never seen you post anything positive on any subject never mind the war...I would hate to be you

You bring up an interesting point. There are a lot of negative threads started regarding this administration and this war. The conundrum is should those negative stories be ignored simply because of their negativity? I think a lot of it is driven by dislike for Bush and Cheney but if the stories are accurate and current shouldn't they be talked about and discussed?

It's interesting that you mention "I would hate to be you" in regards to Ribo, I understand you point completely yet I feel the same way about certain neotaints. Their pure hatred for anything different than they are makes me feel the same way, I would hate to be them.

I am online quite a bit, ...and times like now... I'm actually skyping with distributors in Africa.
One of my guys is conducting a business presentation to a large group in French.
I'm just a fly on the wall at this point because I've trained him so well, ...just here to provide any backup info he may need through filesharing... but he's got it down tho. He's infact enrolling quite a few of them as I type.

I'm just here to make sure they go through, ...or to possibly enroll them on my end... if he runs into a challenge. He's maneuvering a site written in English, and they all speak French.

so as a result... I'm browsing the web and the forum simultaneously.

Hope That Clarifies,

Negative news is what creates hate for the administration in the first place. How can anyone expect people with common sense to ignore all the failures? And neocons want people to focus on stuff like McCain's visit to Iraq, as though it were positive news.  ::) Yeah, needing a legion of men to walk through a fucking market is positive..  :-\

I think Bush and Cheney had a lot of support in 2000-2003, but now they don't. They have only their actions to blame.

I'm not even talking about the war or administration...he and Jag post nothing but negativity on a daily basis on any subject you can dream of. You don't do that, and do you really think that surrounding yourself in constant negativity doesn't have a mental effect?

Ah, the famous "MM reflex" - as I call it.

Angry, frustrated, limited intellectual resources exhausted...

So out comes the verbal clenched fist.

You're a sad excuse for a man, MM. No army in the world can help you with that.

Strangely, George doesn't seem amused. You'd think an old frat boy would have a great sense of humor.

So give us a window into MM's world....

When you type something like "dumb bitch" or "fuck stick", in your heart of hearts, do you fantasize - even if just for a second - about punching us in the face? Or holding our heads under water while we scream for mercy? Maybe even emptying your weapon into our bellies?

You know... a real display of power?

I know you picture me here, clenched fist, red faced..but in all reality I am watching sports center and just typing to kill time. I don't get worked up, offended, embarrassed, excited, never feel like "man I showed him"....sorry to ruin your day

If ya did that, I can tell you there would be a whole whack of Secret Service, Marines, and state and local law enforcement personnel all over the US, and other parts of the world not too happy with you. I got a BIG family, and most of them are Americans, ...and a good portion of those are licensed to kill.

The interesting thing is... we don't all share the same last name... so the next time you get pulled over for going 2 miles/hr over the speed limit, ...smile, and be real polite, cause that cop who pulls you over could very well be related to me.  ;D
