Good thing he has a new house.  That old one was way too small for 2 people and a few dogs. ::)
Nice things are great and if you can afford them and they make you happy, more power to you.  You have to wonder though how long he'll have to enjoy his new place and cars.  All that substance abuse adds up, believe me.  These guys live in the land of make believe where they look good, so they must be healthy. ::) I'd place more importance on my family then winning another few titles which in the long run, don't come close to the people you love.  Who knows though, he could live until 70 ::)

i played baseball a few years in the minors. ended up getting released. i went to college before that, but didnt care much for my major -which was special education (because thats what i could fit in).. i spent a year not knowing what to do with my life, up to that point baseball was all i ever wanted to do, and its all i was good at..but i remembered i really liked a criminal justice class i took..  ended up getting into the nypd.

its an extremely dangerous job when your chasing drug dealers and breaking down crack houses in the south bronx.. been shot at several times, beaten, stabbed, you name it... every time i strap on that vest i know it could be the last time.. but its what im good at, and its all i know, and its the best way for me to provide for my family(just a wife so far). luckily i got promoted to a different department. bought a house, nice car, new boat. im not sure how long ill be able to enjoy those things either.

i can imagine jay's in the same boat im in. if i was ever killed, i know my family would be taken care of because of what ive done,,and thats more important then how long i live,, same as jay. when you see that money comming in and the stability its giving you, how can you turn it down and risk doing something else? maybee jay has insurance and assets that will take care of them when hes gone. when you factor that stuff in you can realize why some people put their own health and safety at risk.

You really can't compare the two.  You uphold the law and put trash away, bodybuilders are drug abusers.  Any which way you break it down, it's just how it is.

Why make comments about the guy's wife?  She is attractive and looks to have a nice figure.  The man is successful in his chosen field of endeavor and has a nice new home to show for it.  I say good for him!

Yep I agree.  His wife looks great, I really dont see whats wrong with her, shes cute.  Probally not as hot as the chicks the guys on this board get  ::) but not bad at all.

A little bit black and white there Croatch? That's a monster simplification, a horribly naive one at that.

WOW YOU MEAN NYPD ACTUALLY BREAKS DOWN CRACK HOUSES?....AND CHASES DRUG DEALERS?

I thought NYPD only supplied the drugs and employed the drug dealers in order to make the money they need to have such things as homes, boats and cars....THINGS MUST HAVE CHANGED....NOT!!!!!

I dont want to upset dave by putting down Jays place, but....why would anyone buy a home with, like, three feet out their front door before they are standing in the street?  With vegas real estate crashing, couldnt jay afford something more than a mcmansion on a 7000 sq ft lot in some cheesy developement in vegas?

In Los Angeles, this would be something, but is that really all the best in the world can afford?

Sad

Pros at Jay's level aren't under the impression they will live a long life are they?  ???

I always thought that pro bodybuilders were totally aware of the consequences of their drug abuse.  Somebody once told me that top Olympic athletes were asked if they could win the gold medal but only live for six months after that would they do what it takes for that result and something like 95% of them said yes.  The point being, that the insatiable drive top level athletes (and bodybuilders) have to win outweighs their health and longevity considerations.

I really do hope pro bodybuilders are not under the delusion that what they are doing happens without great (and grave) health consequences.  It reminds me once of a story I read on mayhem by Tom Prince when he said that whenever a pro bodybuilder would walk into the gym all the girls would look.

lol.

Yes, they would look - just as I would because it is a freaky sight to see.  I found it kind of sad that Tom was under the delusion that pro bodybuilders would be attractive to women.  I really hope none of them think bodybuilding comes without health consequences, because that is a much more serious delusion.

Matt, are you saying that bbers would go as far as taking cock (or two) in the ass to improve their placings?
