Call it a hunch but I'm guessing he's not above 10% bf in that picture.

Impressive definition for a man his size.

sapp does a lot of gear and gh.

having said that, he has applied himself to learning his trade with surprising commitment.

for a huge man like that to learn the technical skills he has (as crude as they are) in such a short space of time (from football) has to be commended.

sapp is obviously a great athlete that never says die and i have huge respect for him as a fighter and an athlete.

and yes, he would destroy coleman in about 5 seconds.  ::)

you may laugh, but fighting sapp causes problems for any fighter.

he comes straight at you which is fine if you move laterally but he has got better at cutting the ring and basically coralls you in with his huge arms.

then he puts his weight on you.

this is where the pressure starts because manouvering him off you takes a lot of energy and strength, you get lactic and you start getting tired quick. mind you, sapp is breathing down on you like a fucking brown bear - fucking stinks like one too.

if sapp had of stayed close to mirko he would have had a much better chance, which is basically why mirko pulled the 'low blow', because he knew he was running out of space fast and, again, trying to move sapp around was wearing (why cro kept dropping and shaking his arms).

mirko got the space and breather he needed and then executed a nice combination that landed his left on sapp's eye socket, which dutifully cracked.

what would be really funny is seeing some of you key board warriors' reaction to a cracked eye socket. ;D

no good in the fields.

you'd have to feed him way too much and he's far too big and cumbersome to be worth the investment.

better off getting a little chogie. 1 bowl of rice input = output of 10 sapps.

In all seriousness Bob Sapp would be terrific for Blacks on Blondes. I mean he'd be sure to make us white guys feel more uncomfortable about sex with tiny white women

sapp is huge..his problem was that he had no technique, he has improved it tho....also he gets tired in 30 seconds. but sapp with his size and strength is a threat to anyone. will never be in the top, but if he pins you in the corner. he can destroy you.

i know this is not sherdog.com but, seriously???

his size is the only reason he's been able to come into the toughest sport in the world at such a late stage and actually do well.

that was no tomato can he was fighting there, it was Mirko Cro Cop Filipopvic, a pure fighting machine.

sapp deserves a lot of credit for donig it the hard way.

wwe is not a sport, it is a bunch of big useless muscle heads bouncing off each other in the name of 'entertainment'.

Agreed. is it safe to say that most WWE stars would last a career into real fighting?

difficult to say.

i have no idea who may be talented.

big guys jumping around swinging each other from turnbuckle to turnbuckle whilst throwing in bbing poses every 10 seconds tells me as much about their ability to actually fight as if they were playing golf.

well, maybe one day UFC will be the king of the hill, but WWE is still doing what they do best, entertaining people. I wonder if the transition from WWE to real fighting is harder than the other way around

good question, there is so little correlation between the two.

a fighter enters the ring as calm and relaxed as possible because he knows that he must preserve his energy and control his emotions, whereas with wwe the more flexing, strutting and yelling the better.

a fighter goes about his business in a calm, controlled manner, watching for openings/weaknesses whilst executing his strategy. his objective is to destroy his opponent all right, but rushing in without thinking is the quickest way to get destroyed yourself.

a wwe wrestler continues to strut, scream, flex and do everything possible to indicate to the crowd and his opponent exactly what he's going to do next. basically the opposite to fighting.

right on. but after all, the WWE is just another movie being shot on location. I wonder how many times they rewrite the scripts ;D

Sapp is probably the most financially stable MMA fighter in the world. I love how people look at him going doen after Cro Cop hits him and say hes crying cos he got punched in the face. Hos eye socket was literally smashed in, you think thats comparable to a slap on the cheek?

And I love how many try to use Tyson as the benchmark for fighting greatness! Mirko is a FAR greater fighter. And man oh man, what about Fedor? What monsters.
