keep in mind gene has squatted over 1000 in competition clearly below parallel, when he was "only" 350 as opposed to roughly 400 these days.

and no matter what you say, he's out-benched everyone else on the planet. even the guys vying for the raw records can't stay ahead of gene in the shirt, so obviously he's not weak.

no idea. he never trains without a shirt.

but you have to wonder: if he can bench more than EVERYONE else in a shirt, and he's operating under the same rules as everyone else, how could he possibly be weak? and hell, he arches less than almost every other big bench, and his feet stay flat on the floor, giving him one hell of an ROM. watch the 1010 bench vid, it's unreal.

i have zero doubts that if he decided to stick raw for a while he'd have that record too.
