David Henry, another little angry-munchkin.  He makes Lee Priest look tall and intelligent.

So many little men in Pro Bodybuilding!...A drug-crazed circus, populated by little, angry and irrational men..ha ha ha.

I think I am being as neutral as possible when I say that does apply to Lee and David.  :)  With all due respect.  Ron did say that David was more polite this year though.  8)

Yes, David is working on his character flaws. 2007 has seen a calmer and more polite munchkin.

However,  underneath that heavily-sterioided-physique, lies a fierce and menacing midget, ready to explode at the drop of a hat!

Look, David is a very short man, he cannot do anything about that.

He did not win the genetic lottery, so will  he compensate by using steroids and anger!

That's because DH found himself on Getbig's hit list after dissing Yaroni at last year's press conference.

David is trying to reinvent himself this year. I think it is important for his overall emotional-health, that he curb his anger.

I understand that he has never come to terms with his height, and the raging- personality is merely a mask for the unresolved inner demons.

David, a word of advice; get off the steroids and become a jockey.

just watched it last night in between doing other stuff...it's ok, I guess.  I liked the "body drag curls" he does.  I remember reading about these in an arm training article by Bev Francis back in the day and trying them and liking them but guys at the gym made fun of me for doing something Bev Francis wrote about even though she was bigger than 90% of the guys in the gym including me.  Didn't watch the second part yet but he is training VERY heavy for the shape he's in.  I've dropped about 15lbs in the last month and I train DC and have noticed no decreease in streangth at all, I've beaten the log book on a pretty consistant basis even though I'm lighter than I've been in a long time.

Man I did not realize how small David is until I watched that vid.  There was A guy on my high school wrestling team who was as big as David and he was natural.  I do like the body drag curls though.  I used to do them my self.   Great pump.

Variations of Barbell Curls: Drag Curl

As the story goes, the late Vince Gironda (a.k.a. "the Iron Guru") used to force everyone at his gym in Studio City, California who wanted larger biceps to try Drag Curls. These are quite a bit different than regular barbell curls; as the name suggests, with Drag Curls you'll be dragging the bar upwards along the front of your torso. You can perform Drag Curls by grasping a barbell with a shoulder-width, overhand grip, as shown in Figure 17.

While allowing your elbows to move behind your sides, lift the bar upwards along your body until you reach the final position shown in Figure 18. As with all forms of standing barbell curls, be sure to keep your back straight and don't heave the weight upward. Also, to keep the emphasis on your biceps, you must avoid raising your elbows or shoulders upwards during the lift!

I guess.  It seems like doing reverse chins or BB rows but just pulling with the biceps.

I'l have to give them a try if that's a legit exercise though I'm not really sure exactly how that works a bicep more so than a standard curl. EITHER WAY!

I'm impressed with how strong he is too, he moves some serious weight.

just tried the drag curls, went light to get a feel for them and first thing I noticed was no pressure or strain on my low back which is great.  I also concentrated on keeping my elbows and shoulders out of the movement.  I liked em  :D

I've actually been thinking of using a form of these for awhile, don't know if it's cause DC talked about them in the Ironman interview from last year or cause I remembered doing them myself.  I'm probably gonna try them on my next blast...should be fun..a nice change of pace from traditional BB and DB curls.

Don't know if it's that it actually works it MORE than a standard curl, just that it's a very different angle and feel.  You can use alot more weight than a regular curl because you're not holding the weight out in front of you.  If you think about how the bicep works then it seems that drag curls would be pretty effective at hitting the entire muscle including both the origin and insertion imo.  Definetly something I'm gonna try.  Too bad I just got back from doing arms.  My arms are still shaking from doing 21's, lol.

Look, David is a very short man.  In fact he is embarrassingly short.

I agree, it is fun to pick on tiny men.  Look at all the flak people like Lee Priest, Danny Padilla, Franco and Eric Bui cop because they are just so-damn-short.

Arnold always found the short bodybuilders to be absolutely hilarious.

Long live the short and angry muscle head!
