No doubt about that! A rod is having a great year! Very dangerous hitter. I hope the NY fans stop booing him now! I think he has performed well enough with his TEN hr's so far ;) Coming of a series with the jays, and then immediately playing  the Yankees will be good for Boston I think. The jays have a offense that is almost as good as the yankees stat wise, so I hope the momentum of those wins can carry over into this series. No doubt this will be very tough lineup to go through. The yankees have a great offense. If any staff can get some wins against it tho, it is Boston. Schill has a era of 2.8, Becket 1.8, D mat 2.7 and Wake is at 1.35. The bullpen has been good, and Paplebon is 4 out of 4 with a 0.00 era. Ob these hitters will be a big challenge for the sox pitchers, so don't think I'm taking them lightly. I know the yankees can score some serious runs. The yankees will need some runs with the pitching issues they have imo. If the sox can get into that overworked bullpen early, they could do some big time damage. On the flip side the sox pitching needs to perform well to keep the yankees from hitting us into a hole. It should be a great battle. Boston has the superior pitching, NY has the superior hitting. Boston leads the Al in pitching and NY leads in hitting lol.

Well, the first came certainly didn't disappont.

A-Rod crushed the ball, Schilling didn't pitch well, Petite did pitch well and Rivera gave up a ton of runs and blew the game. Oh, and our SuperStud closer Papelbon couldn't close because he pitched the previous two nights so a skinny Japanese lefty got the save even though he had to face Jeter, Abreu and A-Rod.

What a friggin game.

If we sweep the sox every time A-rod can hit 4 homers a game for all I care! Yeah baby
