Does anyone here listen to Neil Young at all.
I just caught one of his songs... the tune is quite similar to "Good Morning America"

They told the artists to "Shut Up & Sing!" I guess many are choosing to do just that.

You know, I use to say that too. But someone came along and made that all a pretty stupid notion. You see, when we're charging around the world telling everyone how it will be, they then have a stake in our politics. When that shit stops, I'll happily go back to telling Jag to mind her own business. But as it is now, it is her business along with everyone else in the world.

It's none of her business as Canada is in no immediate threat from the US, I think she'll live. She just likes to stir up trouble and get people riled up. Ignore it.

If we stopped interfering with the operations of other nations, our standard of living would drop.
We currently live beyond our available means because the leaders we install (at the cost of peace and lives) give us good deals on things.
While most of us are honest enough to admit it's messed up and wrong, I don't think any of us would give up our cozy big houses and easy lifestyle so that someone we never met will live longer, or some country we'll never visit will not get bombed.

from a US standard of living standpoint, they're completely right.
I used to bitch about it. But if it stopped, our lives would suck. Hard to argue against it. However, I still hate worst of all those dishonest pricks who support US interference in other nations but lack the moral courage to admit we're doing it for resources, not to 'help others'. Those people are despicable.

finally?... I got it a long time ago, it was also the basis I supported the right of Chavez to make the statements he makes about Bush. Guys like Lou Dobbs, who I generally like, are sure he had no right to be critical of Bush and I disagree with that. Of course he does. I would rather we could turn back the clock to a time I could say, stay out of our politics, but Bush has virtually assured we will never return to that time. :-\ lol, you can't build a NWO and tell the world they can't participate verbally with the enforcing country.
