That statement fits your screen name very well.  Muscle bear? :-\

As for the photo being "shopped" ???  If it was, it wasn't me.  It's awful funny how those flags got tossed quick as fuck though.

How does this put an end to it? It's possible he's had the nerve damage since he was young.

Are you fucken serious bro?  A person suffering from nerve damage at a very young age on supposedly an ENTIRE one side of his body, goes on to gain 100+ pounds and wins the O.  Look dude, aside from the picture, I personally have suffered nerve damage in my right hand.  (severed and repaired median nerve)  Let me tell you how my middle, index finger and thumb do not look much like the same fingers on my opposing hand.  Atrophy is inevitable when dealing with nerve damage, yes, but loss of function is the biggest obstacle.  Jay would have never been able to build himself up the way he has if this rumor were true.

I believe the rumor is that he sustained very minor damage to some small areas after gaining most of his size.

could be receptors, could be nerves, could just be that as he nears 300 and uses chems to force unnatural growth, some parts on the left don't respond like those on the right. who knows.

honestly, with 280+ pound guys, and the new unprecedented levels of use, we don't know enough about the use and LT effects to make any judgments now.  think about it - guys are doing things now which might be looked at as insane in ten years.  who knows.

The rumor mill will always spin.  Only Jay and his doctor know and I guarantee it'll stay that way till either he wants it to be known or Joe Pesci forbid, something happen to him.  I'm not holdin my breath.  He's on top and whether the masses approve or not, he's a success.

On another tip though, what do you think about that pic 240?  Shopped?

I dont think its shopped.  I'd like to see others, and i haven't gone pixel by pixel, but it could be the angle of the pic, one leg flexing more than another or extended further.  Or it could be his legs are just different.  Some folks have one leg longer, why not have one leg wider?

Insane size on them for being so young.

but his left arm and pec also look that % bigger than his right arm/pec, in the pic.

IMO the right side of the pic (his left side) is just an inch closer to the cameraman.

Coupled with the dark background (natural eye illusion of larger) and the shine on it (3-dimensional aspect added), it could fool the eye.

I could be wrong.  But my money is on real.  Anyone have the scan of the original magazine where these were printed?  It woudl put this issue to bed.

I'm gonna risk a flood of flamings here, but the form of Jay on that pic could rival Ronnie's on his best day.....

He does look incredible - but he isn't in trunks and isn't standing next to guys with more graceful frames.  Towel and angle help him too.

I remember a pic of shawn ray (either 92 or 96) posing in the gym before a show.  Standing next to a pec fly machine I think.  For a guy who looked like perfection onstage, next to the equipment he looked surprisingly small.  I'm guessing with big guys it's the opposite - they look gigantic in the gym but their unimpressive symmtery makes them look smaller in the void of the stage.

Branch really looked like he may have the best legs of any pro from what he showed tonight guest posing at the Jr USA. Jay is still a better bodybuilder OVERALL however, but Branch keeps getting better.

It could be that since one leg is shorter than the other (with it being abnormally shorter than on a normal human since we are not perfectly symmetrical) the mechanics of exercises like squats make his body compensate for this abnormality by putting more pressure on the longer leg. I believe Jay knows this also, if you notice his bodybuilding training is iso-lateral (for example he leg curls with each leg individually rather than doing both at the same time) to prevent his longer leg from getting too large compared to his shorter leg. It can also be noticed on Ronnie's bench press where his right arm, shoulder and pec carry most of the weight. Once he increased the weight, and his joints got weaker on his left side this assymetry might have led to his current nerve damage, since his left side did not get as much resistance training  (a substantial amount).
