Probe of dog fighting at a Michael Vick home

Police sources told news outlets in southeast Virginia Thursday that they have found evidence of an illegal dog-fighting operation at a home owned by Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.

Vick, according to a report on Hampton Roads' Channel 3 news, is not under investigation and does not live at the house, which is occupied by Davon Boddie, who has been alternately identified as Vick's cousin and nephew.

According to the Virginian-Pilot Web site, authorities had obtained a search warrant for the property, located midway between Richmond and Norfolk, after the arrest of Boddie on marijuana charges. Between 30 and 70 "pit bull-type dogs" reportedly were found at the house, some heavily scarred, along with paraphernalia associated with dog fighting.

The Humane Society of the United States issued a statement alleging that Vick is under investigation and cited several other professional athletes for similar violations, but news reports from Virginia specifically noted police denials that Vick is a target.

Like he didn't know they had 30-70 dogs at HIS place.

Well, if he knew, that was pretty dumb. And if he didn't, even dumber.

Whats dumber is the amount of money invested in him.  If he has another bad year, he will be on Atlanta's books for a while.

We are talking about a guy who's family cheered at a game when Cris Chandler got hurt. Brains don't run in that family

I'd bet the likelihood of him not knowing this was going on is pretty low. For some morons fighting pitbulls is a status symbol and I bet he's one of them.

Okay, "between 30-70 pit-bull type dogs". That is a wide range, why no exact number. I'm calling BS. 30 and 70, what happened to the dogs, the numbers i mean, because that range is too broad.
