Kurt Angle is training with Maurice Smith(former UFC champion, champion kickboxer) and Brasilian Top Team in preparation to enter the UFC late next year!!!! Can you say Couture owned?!!!! ;D
-
I thought his arms are fucked up. Well, if he wants his ass kicked, that's the way to go. Sounds like a hoax though.
-
No hoax, kurt is serious about fighting mma..He is an awesome wrestler, strong, and a tough guy..So I think he can really do well, but we'll have to wait and see..
-
Oh dear, he will get tooled.
His limbs are ruined through wrestling in WWE and to come back at the end of the year would be too soon if he is serious.
He wasa good wrestler, that does not mean he can develop skills necessary to compete against the best.

If Brock is to be believed then he used to manhandle Kurt backstage all the time in mat wrestling. Kurts mat skills are still very good in comparison to your average joe, but these days you have pure world class wrestlers competing and even some of them get mauled at times.
IMO Kurt is too long in the tooth, he should have done this 5-6 years ago if not before. Hes gong to obviously compete as a heavyweight and maybe there are a few cans out there to give him some momentum, but as soon as he makes the step up he will get destroyed. Nobody is knocking him for trying but i dont want to see him hurt
-
Well, my judgment may be a little clouded by the fact that i really like kurt, but i still think he will do well..I don't think he will fight unless his body is in top shape..I do agree, he should have started mma at least 5 years ago(he is getting old)
-
I can't wait to see him get knocked the fuck out.

it was the other way around, Kurt was the one that man handled Brock. Kurt was an Olympic caliber wrestler, Brock was never even invited to try out for the Olympic team.

nowadays - a world class wrestler really doesn't mean a great fighter - look at Gardner - looked very stiff against Youshida
-
Not only world class, he's a gold medalist for christsakes! He was the best in the world! Fedor was a sambo or judo gold medalist. He could potentially be a younger better Randy Couture if he develops some sort of striking ability. I'm surprised people don't think he'll do well considered the lesser(and older) wrestlers that have competed so successfully in MMA.
-
I think kurt will surprise alot of people..He is very explosive, fast, and his wrestling is(and always was) great..just got to wait and see how well he has trained in stand up fighting..

Fedor has never competed at the Olympics! Might be a medalist from a world championship but not Olympics. Gardner is an olympic champion as well but he is not that good of a fighter.....Dos Caras JR was an olympic wrestler as well - as a fighter - SUCKS....do you see my point....

Fedor is a world champion in Sambo, not a gold medalist. What makes Fedor so good is he is good at all ranges of combat. I don't know how good Kurt can get at this point of his career. He is really beaten up, has lots of injuries. I think he is simply trying to draw attention to himself (like PBF) and piggybacking on MMA's popularity.
-
Kurt could have been a great MMA guy but his body is way too broken down from wrestling to even think about getting into the MMA ring.
-
I thought Kurt had a cervical fusion. If he did there is noway he could compete in MMA.

I don't think he is even a world champion in sambo...I know he competed in many international tournaments in sambo and judo and i don't think he is a world champ.....i also checked his homepage , and it doesnt say anything about him being a world champion!
