I spoke with promoter, Pam Betz, today and she informed me that there will be SIX height classes for this year's Jr. Nationals figure and not four as in year's past. This was approved today by the NPC. This does NOT change the number of pro cards given out to figure competitors - there will still be FOUR pro cards but not six. So 4 of the six height class winners will be eligible for IFBB PRO status. The reason for the change is not to have 70 competitors in one class and is a good move for everyone.

Well, excuse me as I use this thread to bitch on a totally unrelated topic ;D
I'm not figure so it doesn't impact me per se, but I find it interesting that 4 pro cards in figure will be given out at one show in one country.....That is double the number of pro cards that have been made available in figure for the *entire history of figure competitions* to the 38 nations/650 million+ people in my region. We got granted one in 2006, and 1 in 2005. Nice and fair distribution there ::)
</bitching>
Good Luck to all competing.

LOL. It's not like this is something new to the show, just two added height classes with no additional pro cards at this show. I'm not sure who is responsible for the out of the US pro card distribution but sounds like something to take up with your country's organization. ;)

LOL, I know about the nothing new I was just arbitrarily bitching really, and trust me we have *tried* with the organisation...much. It's not my nation, our fed is actually very good, also we are way to small to even think of handing out cards, it's the regional division.
I'm not figure, so it really doesn't affect me, but I just like to throw it out there....as there seems a perception at times [not from you just generally] that some regions not being represented strongly in the pros is because we suck, and it's not that...it's the bureaucracy.
