ive followed both of these thru there carears, dela hoya is a great and mayweather is probably the most gifted fighter ive ever seen, i dont know which way to call this fight, but personally id love to see mayweather get sparked, nobody likes a prick more than himself and that applies to mayweather....and id love to see ricky hatton get the chance to fight the winner, just to determine that hes actually on the same level

Oscar will win this fight, i believe. I love the guy. People that don't follow the sport would be attracted to his professionalism and easy going demeanor, YET the real deal is he grew up on the streets and is a BAD and viscious fighter..... Who ever guided Oscar in his upbringing deserves great respect.....One of a kind.

i'm hoping de la hoya but I think mayweather will win

This weekend I watched two old Mayweather fights (available on HBO on Demand) and I've Oscar's fights in the past as well. It's hard for me to see Oscar winning based on what I saw. I hope I'm wrong.

I want De la Hoya but I know in my heart Mayweather is the better fighter. Dude is just absolutely deadly when he's on top of his game.
You also have to really admire De La Hoya's willingness to fight the best, no matter who it is. Can't say the same about Mayweather.

Aren't both of these people really old? It seems like they were both pro boxers when I was in high school and that was a long, long time ago.

who cares.... a guy and a coon punching eachother in the face for 12 rounds
we're all winners

Damn, niggy, that's just wrong!
But it did make me chuckle...

Maybe you are thinking of Floyd's uncle/trainer Roger or his father? They both boxed. Oscar's probably 34 and Floyd might be 30.
