I read that Zane was a teacher in his early days. Anyone know what year he left the field? Was he still teaching when he won Olympia in 77-79?
-
Pretty sure he was living off the sport full time by then...
However, seminars were actually real seminars back then so he was still teaching in one respect.

I'm almost positive that he left teaching math in the late 60's or early 70's, so by the time he was winning the Olympia he was long gone from the field.

Why is it that today's seminars aren't what they used to be?
is the information that readily available online/books now? Or is it all drugs, and no one can touch that publicly?

That is correct; Frank was a professor teaching bitterology and occasionally jealousology and loserology. Recently he's entered computer field as well, mainly specializing photoshopology, minoring denialogy.

The only exception would be some sort of stripper school, where damaged young 18-year olds are trained to gyrate by a 23-year old experienced stripper with not too many miles on her.
That kinda teacher would be cool in my book.

THAT was a major league zinger 240 hehehehe.
Zane did start out teaching chemistry and math with lifetime teaching certificates I believe. Once he was a top bodybuilder he pursued more lucrative interests related to bodybuilding and fitness.Remember the ol Zane haven in Palms Springs? Howard
