You've got to be kidding me ? Go to the store and ask for Shoe Cleaner ... just about EVERYONE carries it. If they're beyond repair ( which I can't imagine that they'd be ), do what bench says ... buy a new pair. Good luck !

The ghetto way that I have been using for years is to use dishwashing soap along with some kind of small firm bristled brush (tooth brush or dish washing brush), hot water and scrub away but take laces out first.

tooth brush and toothpaste.....or buy new ones

yeah man if they are leather or vinyl just use shoe cleaner, if material just use a small stiff brush and scruuub

Make sure its pure white toothpaste.... I know, I know, obvious right? I gave the same advice to some d bag, and he whined when the green swirl in the toothpaste dyed his shoes. You would think common sense would tell you blue or green "swirl" toothpaste would not be the kind to use.
