Nice, I love it when opportunists use a national tragedy to sell something especially when it's under the guise of Patriotism. Perhaps we could start threads for all those clowns that wrote songs or even whole albums about 9/11.

Best American Song I have heard.  "American Soldier" is quite good too.  BTW, Toby Keith was raised like that by an Army father so I don't think his patriotism should be called into question.

The guy financially profited from a terrorist attack, you bet your ass I'm going to call him on his patriotism. He's not the only one either, if I remember correctly there were quite a few people that did the same. Just like I have the right to call Clooney for criticizing people that wanted to know where all that money raised after 9/11 went.

One thing about Toby Keith is he is constantly doing USO tours, so I don't think he was making a buck off of 9/11, I truly think his patriotism is sincere. I applaud anyone willing to come to Iraq to perform for us troops.

Tobacco companies gave out free cigs, Hershey gave out massive amounts of free chocolate...not intending to make any money  ::)

At first I thought he was a moron because I don't like to think the American way is putting boots in peoples ass.  After watching the Biography of Toby Keith I think he sincerely cares about the troops and his country.  He said he doesn't support the war in Iraq, but he certainly supports our troops.

The problem is we put a boot in the wrong ass.

I really don't get you guys and this MM69 shit. And sending chocolate is different than puting your own ass in Iraq for the troops. You clearly don't know anything about Toby Keith.

So now supporting the troops, writing a song to inspire patriotism and bringing morale to them is a bad thing?  Don't read so much into it this time.

oh yeah I forgot that when it come on the radio in 2003 it's sole reason for release was troop morale.........who would have thought we would need such troop morale? 9/11 inspired me to look at porn on the net, I'm going to sit here and play air guitar with my dingy, don't worry I'm not looking for money....just inspiring others to play with their dingy

Lol..if you deny the fact that the average grunt does not know what it means to be overseas and fighting that they wanted troop morale to be at a high.  If morale was never needed then why have the USO?

We need the USO, we need troop morale to protect and uplift our country not to line someone's pockets
