alright,
list em, great underrated and forgotten hairbands and hairband songs. I'm trying to think of songs to throw on my IPOD and I'm in a Hairband mood, I've got a bunch of the more "memorable" songs but I'm looking for some undeerrated or flat out forgotten songs.
A good example would be "lovin you is a dirty job" by Ratt or "Machine Gun" by Warrant...stuff like that...

Love this song

Slaughter - Wild Life

They deserve as much ridicule for "Cherry Pie" as you want to throw at them. But "Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Warrant is a great song with an incredible guitar sound and that's just a fact.
The guitar solo on "Wait" by White Lion is classic.
But my #1 pick in this category is "For The Love Of Money" by Bulletboys. Devastating vocal!

There was an English band called Tigertailz, I liked back in the early 90s 8)

Savatage Hall of the Mountain King
Great song, would hardly call Savatage a hairband though.
No Lee Priest jokes after watching the video :D
-
Van Halen isn't a hairband :-X :-X :-X >:( :(

here's some I've found in the last few days that were pretty cool:
Dangerous Toys-Scared and Teasin' Pleasin...they were kinda a poor mans guns n roses, these were actaully played on MTV.
Kingdom Come-Get it on..yeah, they sound like Zep but it's a cool song.
Tesla-Love me..really cool song off thier first album, woulda probably been a hit
Warrant-Machine gun, Inside Out, Hollywood (so far, so good)
White Lion-Leave me Alone, Warsong...man Vito Bratta can play his ass off.

Vixen was comprised completely of Elementry school teachers. I heard that on Shadow Stevens old top 40 countdown

That is a great song, but it was written by this man:
-
Richard Marx's suckitude is firing on so many cylinders there...
The mullet. The shortness. The "bad boy" sulk.
Not to mention the whiny voice recorded on the LP inside.

Quiet Riot

FYI-Quiet Riot back when Randy was in the band opened for VH at the starwood or the whiskey...can you imagine seeing those 2 guys playing back then :o :o :o

not alot of people know that QR was around back in the 70's with Randy as thier guitar player, they put out 2 albums in Japan before Randy jumped to Ozzy's band. Back in the 90's they released Quiet Riot: The randy rhoads years which is ok...it's just cool to hear that incarnation of the band.
Anyone ever hear the QR album they put out after they kicked Kevin dubrow out of the band?
I got a couple of warrant songs yesturday: 32 Pennies and In the Sticks from thier first album, pretty good songs.
-
I think I'm going to dl the whole QR catalogue right now :D

I dont' think the entire first 2 LP's have ever been released and I've never seen them on any downloading system, not even the old napster :-\
QR: The Randy Rhoads years is ok, look for "Laughing Gas" it's actually pretty decent, there is a version of "the mighty Quinn" floating around that they did, it's pretty good. I know they did a cover of Glad All Over......
