I just had my first week in an office and fuck me if it isn't the most fucking boring environment. Wearing a suit and having to kiss some guys ass who is 50 and morbidly obese while having to work with 40 something jerk off's who think they are important because they sit on their fat ass all day.
I'd rather have a shit paying job than sit in a crusty shitty office all day.
Just venting.... meltdown.

I was 23 when i landed my first office job. I thought there'd be hot sluts, all that was there was winging old bags.. now i sit on my arse at home and work for myself. My lounge room is my new office. 8)

i'm updating websites this morning in my boxers while watching spongebob and playing with my baby. I'm at work. While I love being able to be with the family all day, lift at lunchtime, take 2 naps a day, and play in a band until 2 am many nights, I sometimes miss the corporate culture.
driving to work sucked. assigned parking and set lunch hours sucked. beaucratic levels, your boss tkaing all the credit, etc. I don't miss any of that.
I think an office job works for most because it is less stressful. Self-employed folks know if they don't hustle up work each day, they don't eat. But you get used to it and it becomes a non-issue after a while.

hahha I work in an Office...
First when i came on board I had to sit in a cubicle and work like a slave...but after a bit i got promoted, moved into a plush office and do even less work...I work smarter , not harder...as they say. You get use to it... It can be boring but depends on what the rules are, who you work for and what not....
the office is the funniest shit around...thats why my gimimick account is dedicated to Jim Halpert, many ways I act like him too..

After working in some sort of office setting for 20 years the best advice is to stay out of gossip and clicks. Do as little as possible. Stay under the radar. Don't offer any input. Always "act" like you are busy.

good point there. keep the inbox tray full and always walk around with a piece of paper in your hand...

My office is my condo and my pool. 3 days a week I go to Hilo. Thats all I do. I did go to Hilo Bay last week with my laptop and typed up some proposals. That was cool. It's about 1/2 from the gym. No I did not take this pic but that little island is where I went. It rains allot in Hilo but this past week it was so sunny and hot had to get outside.

Nice one. I have a pool at my place and this past summer I did hardly any work because of it...

I work in an office, I have 13 direct reports that I am responsible for. The above statement is how I got there, and when I look out onto the floor the ones that aren't doing the above are the ones that are usually put on an "improvement plan".
