Title: Can anybody here do 1000 reps
Post by: onlyme on May 04, 2007, 09:08:54 PM
Is there anyone here who can do at least 1000 reps with 45 lb. dumbells.  One arm at a time, do a curl then press overhead.  Come on I have two friends who can do way more than that.

The question is: Do you know anyone that has a spare hour to curl 2,000 reps in total?

Keith can be whoever he wants. He's the one who tells us all these fantastic tales of amazement and wonder. Guys pulling cars, people who bench 900lbs raw, catching fish with your teeth.

This one time, Keith was doing lunch with Eddie Murphy, Wayne Gretzsky, and the Queen of England.  Hulk Hogan walks up to their table and starts mouthing off, at which point Keith picks up the 800-lb planter sitting next to the table (WITH ONE HAND) and smacks Hogan upside the head with it.  Then he grabs Pamela Anderson who was eating at the next table, tosses her over his shoulder, jumps into his new Ferrari and drives off into the sunset!

Well to save me time and you the embarassment of trying to say I am full of shit when everything I say I can prove unlike most people on here, go to www.fitness4x4.com (http://www.fitness4x4.com)   Dragan is a friend of mine.  I think he talks about Dr. Nick Delgado who I introduced to Dragan and now he travels around the world doing these exhibitions.

Dragan the record holder at 45 lbs lifts, has invited Dr Nick Delgado after congratulating him from his great effort at Arnold Classic, will observe Nick as he appears in London to compete with 40 pound dumbbells.

I have accepted the Challenge May 19, 20, 2007 coming up in London to compete in the open division against all athletes and we are forming Team USA with Tim Nash .

Seni combat event includes Vertical power lifts with Dr Delgado

ExCeL London
One Western Gateway
Royal Victoria Dock
London
E16 1XL

Dr. Nick Delgado at age 52, speaking at the Long Beach Health Freedom Expo 2007.

Watch it at...  www.Delgadovideo.com   This video was taken just 2 days after the 2007 Arnold Classic where Nick did over 2200 lifts!

As you might have heard of our recent success at the Arnold Classic Fitness Show

Dr. Nick Delgado ’s competed defeating all challengers at the Arnold Classic. In all, 25 men and 4 women took the challenge, signing up in person at the event.  Competitors were allowed to choose the weight of their choice using the adjustable Powerblock dumbbells. www.ultimatemedicalresea rch.com -See Resources allows you to order your own set of Powerblocks.

This year, 2007, Friday March 2 and Saturday March 3, Dr. Nick arrived to challenge

and compete in the Dragan Challenge for Vertical lifts.   See fitness4x4.com   see Nick on stage competing with Dragan and Bill Kazmaier announcing the event-see challenge.

Here was my record performance at the Arnold Classic:

1005 lifts at 30 lbs

1000 lifts at 25 lbs- no rest between, drop set  -

200 lifts at 40 lbs*

Total 2200 lifts - Time to complete was a little over two hours*

This unofficial record was observed by growing crowd. The end of the competition was also filmed by a participant, who observed my lifts and recorded them on video film.

To understand my output of Energy one has to apply:

Newton ’s Law (Distance x number of reps x weight lifted)

Moving weight 55 inches x 1005 repetitions  x 30 Weight = 1,658,250

                     55 inches x 1000 reps x 25 weight = 1,375,000

                     55 inches x 200 reps x 40 weight =     440,000

Total units of Energy expended =3,473,250 in two hours!

No one was even close in competition...possibly only 3 or 4 people in the world could

do this such as Dragan or one of his son’s, and I haven't hit my top ability yet.  Perhaps

if I had been pushed by a competitor I could have kept going. Although I was sore and exhausted at the end of the competition, by the following day I was ready to compete again. But because no one exceeded my previous day’s performance, I did not have to

lift again.

I am training harder than at any time in my life, while balancing my career, family life with my 4 children, as a single father, trust me this is important to me.

Last Friday in training I did without rest

45 lbs x 75 lifts x 55 inches move weight distance= 185,625

40 lbs 300 lifts x 55 = 671,000

35 lbs 120 lifts x 55 = 231,000

30 lifts 169 lifts x 55 = 278,800

35 lifts 130 lifts x 55 = 250,250

40 lbs 105 lifts x 55 = 231,000

45 lbs 50 lifts x 55 = 123,750

50 lbs x 25 lifts x 55 inches= 68,750

55 lbs x 25 lifts x 55 inches= 75,625

2,115,850 units of pure energy output

I watched Dragan at the Arnold 2005/6 [?] with his shoulder pressing 'demo'. I think it was 25lbs, but he was repping out forever, and looked very comfortable. They had some audience challenge crap, and they had teams of people combined trying to rep as long as Dragan. It was kind of funny, as people were dropping like flies, getting replaced with people who then dropped, while Dragan while still pressing away. Like 5 guys combined still did not beat him.

well, I'm gonna have to say that some people outhere can pull some incredible feat of strenght. I remember back at the 2001 ASC there was a guy about 180lbs, he did about 800 fucking reps with a pair of 35lbs dumbbells nonstop. Far from it pal.  But good try.  When I mention someone I am friends with them with acquaintances.  Dragan lives in Hawaii and performed at both my shows.  I also got him on a show here in Hawaii.  Nick also came to both my shows and supported me and in fact both of them came to the #1 radio program with me in Hawaii to help promote my show with me.  I introduced him to Dragan and thats how Nick started doing this and looks to me like he is kicking ass.  So if thats what people think when I say a "friend" then I can explain in detail how I know each one.  If I did what you say I do then I would be able to list allot more people, even the Pope.

Is there anyone here who can do at least 1000 reps with 45 lb. dumbells.  One arm at a time, do a curl then press overhead.  Come on I have two friends who can do way more than that.

1000 reps! Now that's quite a feat!

Impossible for many people.

Hah, fair enough.. quite honestly I think that a lot about your stories but you know that goes with the territory.  Either you're talking shit or you've lived some interesting times.  You are guaranteed to evoke this reaction.

Dude I say it to myself all the time.  When I actually sit down and think about it my stories do sound unreal sometimes but they did happen and I have pics usually to prove everything I say.  I don't say shit I can't prove as much as possible cause it wouldn't sound good.  I have lived an interesting life cause all my friends remind me all the time.  But it sometimes frustrates me when someone questions what I say when I have proven everything I say.  It's all cool though I guess

He does it in front of huge crowds and he has a person with a counter next to each competitors and someone else to post them up.  It takes over an hour to do them all.
