There is now a Bodybuilding.com and Weider Alliance. Announced on PBW. And from the tone of the announcement, it would seem that a major power play is in the works with these companies coming together. Let's see:
- Flex/MF already destroys all other industry mags tenfold in sales.
- BBing.com already destroys all other industry websites tenfold in sales and hits.
- Weider has signed nearly all of the top 10 Olympia guys.
A few questions. Will this new superpower (and its potentially huge synergistic possibilities) now completely OWN the sport? And, who will have the final say in the war room when a big decision needs made? On the other side, are the kids at MD now looking at the market share predictions for 2008-2010 and getting a little tummyache?

Ah, those were the days. Staff on the web content team said it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen. Put a rush on it and it was up in 24 hours. Response was instant - kids loved it on the IFBB forum. The members commented they were even sending it to their non-bodybuilding friends.
But, like many great things, it came before its time. Perhaps our grandkids will read about it in history book, who knows...

Joe already cashed out. If he wanted to get back in, he'd buy back his magazines at a discount. But he's retired. It's more likely that Ryan DeLuca and Milestone would buy the mags or other pieces of the Weider empire, perhaps even the IFBB. that might be a good thing. Ryan obviously knows how to run a company.
