For someone who is so badly against the establishment, you sure give a lot on grammy awards and the likes...

monster hypocrisy.

Chilli Peppers have paid their dues.  Not a "manufactured" band by any means.  They were doing their thing back when there was little reason to assume their sound would achieve mainstream success.  They are dedicated to the craft.

I saw em in '85 and '87 (back in their "one sock" days).  The 87 show was in a small theater in the barrio in Denver (a smaller venue then 2 years before), where the punk bands could get gigs.  After the show, Flea and Anthony went to the loft party gig of a local punk band.  Those guys lived the no money, "get in the van" life because they Loved playing.  Just because they become successful doesn't mean they sold out.

Last album I heard was Californication or whatever it was called.  I liked it but i didn't think it was a good Chilli Peppers album (if that makes sense).

I don't really like their latest shit.
Californication was pretty good. But that was the beginning of the end. Now they're too old and losing the edge.

Each album has some good songs on it, but also a lot of song i can't stand. Still, i could make a list of like 20 really good songs, which is more than most bands.

I read Anthony Kiedis his biography. Dude fucked a lot of chicks. He had a pretty wild life, (he broke his back jumping from an appartment into a pool, or rather next to the pool  ;D ). Heroin fucked up half his life though.
