Title: And so it begins - Mormon Victimology in full force
Post by: Tre on May 09, 2007, 08:57:44 AM

I wondered how long it would be before the Mormons found the way to play the victim card...

I think it's funny how Democrats legitimized this fool.

What he said, sans the Christian part.

Hopefully karma won't bite me on the ass for such a sentiment though. Although karma hasn't seemed to effect Sharpton much so perhaps there's nothing to worry about in that respect.

I haven't seen the video, but based on what I've read, I don't think Sharpton's saying that Romney, specifically, does not believe in God.  If anything, he's saying that ALL Republicans don't believe in God, which is more accurate anyway.  Well, they believe in God, but 'God' is just a tool they use to rationalize murder, rape, and theft.

Further, the Mormons don't like to talk about God or even the bible, for that matter.  They consider the bible to be 'flawed', whereas the Book of Mormon is 'perfect'.  Their god figure is known as 'Heavenly Father' or 'Father in Heaven' and if you don't call him by that name, people will look at you funny.

Do u honestly think Al knoiws as much as ..say u do about the mormon religion. I think he said something stupid. It didn't take long. i think while the mormon relgion is 'odd' and sorta cultish..they do some good things around the world for poor people so I don't see the big deal with Romney. I think he's a good man and a smart one but i don't think people will elect him.

I agree.  Sharpton probably doesn't know squat about Mormons.

I'm okay with Mormons.  I work with one and know several.  They're good people.  The Mormon church is also very business savvy, particularly in Hawaii.

That is how they get ya. No matter what the religion, like Protestants going to Haiti, they do good only to show you that you are on the "wrong team". Basically judging people for their own beliefs

True, true - I'm definitely way too vested in the Mormons at this point.

One of the teachers tipped me off today about a new ad campaign the church is test marketing in a few areas right now.  I wonder what their ad budget is for the year.

Commercializing God, how can one do that. This is not like your selling a Audi or a Porsche. "Why you should choose us versus the competition. Black people what have Christians done for you?"

As much as I'd like to bag on Sharpton it seems his comment was taken out of text as usual.

yep.

romney played the victim.
sharpton, a confirmed douchebag, was over criticized for it.

and one can only guess why, with so many intelligent african-americans with creative solutions for our nations problems, they put sharpton's ignorant ass on tv every morning.
