My question is very simple....
What is the difference between weightgainers like N-Large and meal replacement powders???
is it just the same???..... or is a MRP like a meal you can drink if you accidently do the SIN of missing a meal while you are trying to gain weight ?
:)
so, should one be on both things?

Weightgainers tend to have a higher carb/protein ratio as they pack it a lot of carbs to help you gain weight. Also if you aren't careful many of the weightgainers have a significant amount of calories that come from sugar. Furthermore i think most weightgainers (including N-Large) are generally made up of a single type of protein (whey protein) while Meal Replacements tend to generally be made up of a protein blend (whey, casein, egg etc).
To answer your question, I don't think there is a need to be on both at the same time. Remember both of these products are substitutes for food (ie if you can't eat a whole lot or for convenience purposes). It also depends on your body type which one you use in my opinion. I tend to put on fat easily, so when I was using N-Large (which is one of the better weight gainers out there) I put on a lot of fat. Just my .02 hopes this helps.

There isn't generally any real difference, only semantical. Both usually have calories from protein, carbs, and fat. The difference in these ratios (including sugars) and how they taste should be what you decide on, not the name. It is just that the company decided to call one a weightgainer and the other an MRP. Say for example you take 10 random weight gaining powder supps and 10 random MRP powder supps and just throw their nutritional information into a hat without their names. Then try and figure out which ones are the weightgainer powders and which ones are the MRP powders.

ok thanks..... its just that im really trying to put on some weight cause im so thin. and my work out scheduale is fine and everything and im doing everything right with the supplements....but i dont have a very big appetite which is what i know is to blame for my not-so-big-ness......... so i was looking for something like a drinkable meal next to the protein.... but i guess i could just start makeing meals in the blender an then drinking them quickly.. ;D
THANK GOD FOR BLENDERS

After workout, get a weightgainer with as much carbs as possible in it, and low protein, cerca 10-20%.
You need carbs after workout.
And some protein.
But if you go too high on the protein after workout, the carb uptake will be slowed.

sooooo, what do you think about N-Large 2 ????

Nlarge 2 is one of the better weight gainers out there. The serving I believe is 4 scoops, so what I would do is divide this in 2. 2 scoops with 16 oz skim milk, do this twice a day and its an extra 1000 calories / day. Using all 4 scoops at once makes the shake really thick, so thats why I advice splitting it in two. Buy the 10lb bucket and it should last you a month (30 of the 4 scoop servings I believe). Only buy Vanilla though, all the other flavors suck, especially that Berry one :-X But it is a good gainer.

i got a sweet deal on some cininmon(shit i can't spell) oatmean flavour. i split the servings up like anz says and take one in the morning and one another time during the day. and the surprising thing is it actually tastes great, not chalky at all like some others i've tried.
