Mint choclate 5lb jug, $29 good price? or too much?
-
IMO - that seems like a fair price. The price of whey is going up. However, you can get whey protein a little cheaper here & there.
-
don't quiver over a couple bucks here and there.
Optimum just had a label change... now it looks like something out of an LL Bean catalog

Yes ON GOLD WHEY is good stuff. I get the 10lb bag for 59$. So 29$ for 5lb is comparable, as long as you aren't buying a POS tasting flavor :P
-
no POS taste. Mint choclate is great, and mixes well too. It's my between shake, between my chicken and greenbean meals.

So is that good or not so good?
Either way the formula hasn't changed. :)

29 bucks is actually pretty cheap for 5 pounds of ON whey, that's what it goes for on bb.com, you'd pay at least 40 bucks at GNC.
-
53 bucks for 10 lbs. on DPSnutrition.com.
-
anyone ever try the Tropical Flavor?
-
The cost of raw whey has skyrocketed as of late.

Not necessarily. With the Gold Card, that price drops to $32. That's assuming you don't get any markdown jugs of the stuff. The cheapest I've ever purchased ON 100% Whey (Gold Standard) was $20 (a jug, marked down to $25 plus the Gold Card discount).
If 100% Whey (Gold Standard) is too pricey, you can always opt for ON Classic Whey. It doesn't have quite as much protein per serving (21 grams vs. Gold Standard's 24 grams) and there's no Aminogen in it. But, it's quite economical as well, especially if GNC marks it down.
