I don't know if they are taking credit for "the Rock" but they made a John Cena film

who do you think will be the next wrestler to get his/her own film?

Vince was credited as an executive producer for several of Rock’s earlier films simply because he owned the Rock’s name/image/likeness.

Kind of like Hogan’s/WWF’s use of the “Hulk” name was under license from Marvel.

I don’t know the exact details of what they worked out, but I believe that Duane Johnson presently owns “The Rock” name.
