curious, how long is HCG good for once mixed
-
About 60 days.
-
cool, thanks

About 60 days.
That really depends on teh brand. Almost all of the veterinary brands are labeled for "use immediately after reconstitution" with one labeled for "use within 48 hours". Anyway you look at it, 60 days seems like a really, really long shelf life post reconstition.

I got 2 boxes of Pharma HCG [Abraxis & APP inc] w/ package inserts both saying 60 days. That do seem long though.
? For the Vet... You hit the animals w/ HCG sometimes? Is it all the same drug for every mammal?

I have a question. My HCG is 2000ius per bottle.
It will last me 1 week.
With using bacteriostatic water is it o.k. to keep unrefigerated , but in a cool dry, dark place ?

Yes, its the same drug. There are 4 or 5 veterinary labels available in the US, but Chorulon (and the human form Pregnyl) are what I'm most farmiliar with. HCG is used for a variety of reproductive ailments in animals, including 1) cystic ovaries (which I have the most experience in terms of patients seen) in dogs, horses, guinea pigs, and cattle, 2) persistant estrus in cats and ferrets, 3) induction of ovulation in horses, and 4)diagnosis of remaining testicular tissue in castrated males.

Thanks. That's just what it said on the one bottle or pharm HCG I had. I also feel it's a little long - which is why I only kept it about four weeks.

What about my question about keeping it unrefrigerated for 1 week, but kept in a cool, dark, and dry place ?
Will it be o.k. as long as I use bacteriostatic water ?
What may happen ?????

HCG from Organon (Pregnyl) is stable for 60 days after reconstitution. Read the last part of the link provided about storage.

I'm sorry, I meant the HCG wont do anything, not that it wont do anything to the HCG storing it at room temperature.
You need to keep it in the refrigerator.
