Title: Should Bill Guns get his competitor stars?
Post by: SteelePegasus on May 27, 2007, 12:46:17 PM
Ron, since Billy has competed several times and has "earned" placements does that qualify him to get his competitor stars?

this may require you to put down the krispy kreme donuts for one second but I would like a response from you.

if you answer is "yes" then can you explain the different between Mr Guns and Mr Goodrum other than their skin color?

both are in the .00001% genetic pool of humans that are immune from the benefits of steroids.

Actually, I think Billy and Dave look pretty good in that shot.

Billy needs about 25 pounds of muscle, but he knows how to get conditioned/tan/pose and he has the motivation, so I think he'll be competing for years to come. He could stop the juice and make the gains naturally.

Vince was NEVER as conditioned as Billy--not that I've seen. He does have more muscle, though.

you didn't address my question..you totally side stepped it

we can dispute which one looks more like crap than the other...but we would be arguing semantics

The question for Ron is, do you get competitor stars for competing, or for competing and not sucking?  And, if he decides it's the later, when will he be taking away Arvilla's and Laura's stars?   ;D

25 pounds of muscle, minimum. That would put him at a lean 205 in my hypothetical world where he STOPS JUICING for a few years to build a base. Then he could think about running a light cycle under close supervision etc.

To answer the question that originated this thread, if Mike and Laura have stars... yes.

Better than him getting onstage at 180, that's for sure!  Realisticaly, each weight class should have maximum height limits to prevent people like Billy from embarasing themselves.

205 on a natural competitor, with impeccable conditioning, would be stringy, but better than 180, no?

He should get up to 205 or 210 lean (or higher) then consider juicing if he wants.

the rock bottom minimum that a competitor should weigh at that heigh onstage is 260 and even that will look sort of lanky at that height.

Yeah, hardly anyone in contest shape looks huge in a baggy t-shirt.
And I'm doing just that, I was 227 and plan to be around 245 in '08.  Up to 270 right now keeping vascularity in arms and legs.
Still, I did win my weight class & haave been competing since I was 18, so if that kid gets his, so should I.

Mower have a thicker next/traps, big arms and legs, and had better symmetry, I would a jansport backpack that he could take billy in a MMA style fight aswell.

Mower was doing MMA remember.

I just road my bicycle to the beach. Should I be crowned the winner of the Tour de France?

If Billy were a 17 yr old novice, competing in a novice teenage show, then yes, give him his stars., but he's not 16 or 17 yrs old. He's a grown man who put on a Speedo and danced around on a stage in front of strangers... aka he's a joke. JFC, any construction worker on the planet, has more muscle than he does. Sadness.

No stars. No clovers. No moons. No nothing.

Quite frankly I wonder how Ron decides who gets the coveted blue stars. Some of the people who currently have them haven't won any shows and have not been that competitive in their shows. I can understand not giving a novice who competes in his first show blue stars, but why Triple H wouldn't have blue stars is beyond me. He's been competing for quite a while and has even won shows. Go figure.

Mockery?????  WTF do you mean by that.  I did pretty good last year and although I could have been a bit sharper, I did it without any steroids, GH, lasix, or etc.  I competed all natural and at 5'11 at 197 pounds onstage, its not too shabby.  Besides, I was a lot sharper during the morning show and faded out at night.  That's all that matter and the pictures of me at the morning show in my whites prove it.

In any case, I've done 2 NPC shows and 3 outer organization events.  What the fuck have you done lately???

As far as stars are concerned, I should clock you upside the head so you can get your stars.  Ron gives out his stars to whoever he feels like giving them too.  I would like to have mine but I would also like world peace....neither of which will happen anytime soon.  I know I'm a competitor and I have my big ass trophy sitting on my desk to prove it.   ;D

Granted, Mike's way ahead at this point, but these guys are sooooooo similar:  both handicapped by their height, both take shitloads of gear and respond poorly to it, both delusional...

That's not a bad plan, but does the board accomodate it?

Also, the quality of the show should be considered:  6th place at Nationals vs. 2nd place in a novice lightweight class of two at a local show.

Billy Guns vs Mike Arvilla...  the next great BB rivalry!

Granted, Mike's way ahead at this point, but these guys are sooooooo similar:  both handicapped by their height, both take shitloads of gear and respond poorly to it, both delusional...

Give Billy a few years to add some mass, and "Arvilla vs Guns 2009" will be the talk of the internet!

What's funny is that he refered to us as "bottom feeders", as though competitive bbing is actually an intelligent and great course to pursue in life.  :-\

That's not a bad plan, but does the board accomodate it?

Also, the quality of the show should be considered:  6th place at Nationals vs. 2nd place in a novice lightweight class of two at a local show.
that's true  , national competitors  should get different colour stars

There are always the batch of "weak ones" in a show...

Yesturday at the Kesytone Classic, I swear there were some guys in the amateur class that looked like fat slobs...are they competitors? I dont know...

Then you have the guys that obviously dieted, and worked hard but still just look too small, i respect those guys bc they dieted, and worked hard..not the fat guys that put little effort in and are so dellusional they think bc they look big in their bathroom mirror they can walk on stage...those i have no respect for at all..

Billguns has  a less than desireable physique, pigeon legs, lanky, small, etc- but he was pudgy before, he dieted down, has abs, so props to him for working hard...

JMHO.

ECA is legal and non-prescription, therefore natural.

Goatboy brand goat whey is far superior to Vyocrap.

What are "NO products"?  The latest snake oil?

Billy and Arvilla are the same type of person -

They juice recklessly their whole life, don't train very hard, and care more about wearing bodybuilding clothes and being seen with bodybuilders, than they do about improving their own physique.

We all know that true bodybuilders are judged by their legs and back - the parts that bar room bodybuilders neglect.  Billy and Arvilla have super-weak legs and back.

They'll both waste their organs and health, for 3 or 4 stupid plastic trophies and spend their 50s telling everyone about how great they were.

You did pretty good, because there wasn't any more than two competitors, and they have to give you a medal. IF there would have been any other number of competitors, you would have been last, even if some of them would have been missing some arm or leg. Fu*ck, you would be last even if there is some bodybuilder, you and fifteen sacks of shit on stage. And what comes to steroids, please try to explain that obvious gyno which you have on all of your photos. You try to buy GH, but they sell you some female hormone, and you grow a pair of bitch tits?

Quote
In any case, I've done 2 NPC shows and 3 outer organization events.  What the fuck have you done lately???

And there were amount of 4 competitors in your class in all those shows put together, so you have prove that you are delusional prick who got placings only when you are alone on stage. BIG DEAL

Quote
As far as stars are concerned, I should clock you upside the head so you can get your stars.  Ron gives out his stars to whoever he feels like giving them too.  I would like to have mine but I would also like world peace....neither of which will happen anytime soon.  I know I'm a competitor and I have my big ass trophy sitting on my desk to prove it.   ;D

Maybe you get your stars when you start look like a man, not like a bitch with those tits. Have you considered to start training, you know, lifting weights, not just wanking and bragging out in these forums.

First off never EVER compare me to "Billy Guns or VInce Goodrum" they make a mockery out of the sport
i train extremely hard (you don't believe me i could give a fuck)
at 43 years of age i came into my last show the hardest/most ripped/grainest guy in the show!
i have the ability to get grainy hard and super ripped
my back and legs have come up nicely (if that's what you want to judge bodybuilders on)
all you keyboard warriors arguing about who should and shouldn't get "competitor stars" have no say in the matter
(because you will never have them!)
worry about yourself and Laura and myself will win all the trophies.............. ;)

You should be compared at Goodrum, not Billy, because Billy has more potential than you clowns put together. You look just about same than Goodrum in every ones eyes; different colour, not any mass but enormous self esteem based on what? Just on your enormous ego. Still, there is more muscular workers in every average construction site, in average hockey team, soccer team, you name it. It isn't enough that you feel big, you have to have something to show for spectators, and what you have? Stupid grin which is your best part. Your best effort have been your diet, and I respect you for that, but as a bodybuilder? I feel pity for you because your over sized ego is your greatest handicap...

I would have to reluctantly say that Billy Gunn does deserve his stars.  He dieted down, made some changes and hit the NPC stage.  99.9% of getbig will never do this.  I don't think he looked good but it was his first contest.  He should get them.

Vince, I don't know too much about him.  I read his shows were also NPC.  However I looked at the before and after pics and saw no real improvement.  I think he just showed up.  Maybe Ron will not give him stars because he is making a mockery of BB (like DA who also does not have stars).

Don't you wonder why at their age they even care about this crap?

Mike n Laura in a nutshell:

Mike probably woke up one day recently and realized he has spent his whole life "living bodybuilding" and is now middle-aged and has nothing... a life wasted in pursuit of something as pointless as BB.  So he clings to it and pretends it matters, even though he knows better.  What else can he do, besides kill himself?

Laura, on the other hand was a middle-aged fatass soccer mom who had a midlife crisis and got herself into shape.  Bodybuilding was to be her "ticket out" of her boring existance.  But now after a few years, she has to be seeing the chinks in the armor, and is surely wondering "is this all there is?"  But like Mike, she has to hold on tightly to her delusions, because they're really all she's got.

They are pathetic DF, aren't they.  They talk about us and our lives on the board, how we are looking for "acceptance".  The funny thing is that we are, but not from them....we are from those who are actually here because of the love of bodybuilding and competition.  Then you have these total morons that are here basically just to slam other who probably have never even stepped foot in a gym.  And on top of that, they mock us for looking for props or acceptance...while they in turn are looking for someone to accept them by laughing along at others and making fun or insulting others.  They are definitely wastes of skin and are worthless to this board.  They seem to forget that this board was created for those who have an interest in bodybuilding, figure and fitness, not for those who don't.

Livewire (TK), you don't know shit about me or my kids so don't start acting like you do and making up rumours, asswipe.  I also invite you to come and tell me or Mike anything to our face, but the sad fact is that you're obviously to chicken shit to show up.  "If I see you at a show someday..." blah fuckin blah.  A lot of shit talk from a whiny ass kid...you know you'll never go to a show we're at and if you "happen" to be there, you sure as hell wouldn't approach us.  Grow the fuck up.

Listen to yourself, you delusional old hag..... You can't tell anybody to "grow up", because your character is so immature that you can't match a normal healthy 20 year old when it comes to maturity..... Continue to hang on to your delusions and approval seeking, and let the grown ups do the talking..... :-\

Well, do not worry about them, you have done a fantastic job changing your body, and the same goes to Mike. A lot of us used to bash you and MIke back in the day, but now you guys walk the talk, and most people here respect you. Props for that ;)

Xerves, first off I didn't post the picture, Mike did.

And if it were a picture that Yemini didn't want shown, he never would have posted it here in the first place.  Nothing bad was said about the child.  We also have always thought Yemini had a great physique and beautiful girls.

Also there is nothing wrong with telling someone to go and play with their daughter...is there?  BUT, there is definitely something wrong with coming up with false stories about one's children and posting them....is there not?  So who is the lowman here?  I'd have to go with TK better known as Livewire.  He plays second to the stinky fish better known a salmon.

Me and Ron have already discussed blue stars some time ago.  I didn't even care about them until everyone started bringing it up.  While I would like to have him, Ron has already explained to me via PM as to the reason I don't have that and it doesn't have to do with how well I compete or etc.

Its just some stars.  I have trophies and plaques of the competitions I've done.  So its of no importance

BTW, Derek and Billy don't have stars because they don't regularly post around here
