About 900 for the prejuding, close to 1,300 for the finals. From various sources. This year, I will be there, and take a picture of the audiences for all. But one thing I heard of the show last year that it was a great production, and lots of people enjoyed the expo and the contest.
I am pretty excited for this year's show, will actually be going, having fun, eating Orange Chicken, and taking a mini vacation in Colorado.
Something for everybody!
Dont forget we have Amateur and Professional Bodybuilding!
Working on a 5K Run for $5,000.00 and a Charity Fundraiser Contribution for next year! ;D
Peace,
S. Ray
i emailed shawn 3 months ago asking what the qualifications were for entering the amateur. he actually emailed back 1 sentence saying someone else would explain. no one did.what a commsumate professional
what color hummer are they giving away this year?
Actually my response was pretty Direct and Specific.
I run the Pro Portion of the Show and the NPC Colorado District Chairman, Jeff Taylor my partner handles the NPC Amateur portion of the show.
What part did you not understand, it's all on the web site? ::)
S
you were very specific. you said someone else would get back to me. no one did. my concern was that i was from Canada and wondered if i could compete. not explained on your website. that is the part i didn't understand.
Exactly, I presume you were interested in competing in the BBing portion, otherwise you would have stated something else.
I'm not responsible for someone NOT getting back to you, when that happened and second inquiry would have been warranted.
But that's just me, if I were SERIOUS about competing. :-\
No Hummer this year. This year it is a Honda CBR 1000 - nice if you could read on what was written just a few posts up. They gave away a Hummer last year.

I'm sure their will be some Hummers give away this year. I just hope it goes great.
Keith, you should really check that attitude. Shawn is one to bounce back. you can bank on that.check
;D
I'm the Co Promoter.
Dude should have followed up if he were serious, we have many athletes 80+ in the NPC portion alone.
If he is in Canada, chance are he cannot compete in the NPC but he is already a member, it is a no brainer.
So what's the fuss ::)

here is a pic from Shawns website....this is just the 'crowd of people trying to get in...'
not sure why you are getting grumpy. all i am saying is that you said you would have someone reply to me and it didn't happen. just the facts. why didn't you tell me to look at the website? i included a bodybuilding photo with my question, so i assumed you would know i was talking about amateur bb.

You dont want to compete
SGT. D
You need to lay off the orange chicken! Instead of working on expanding your waistline, you should spend a day hiking in the mountains and burn some calories... maybe climb Long's Peak or one of the other 14-ers within driving distance of Denver.
you're probably right. my first contest was 1987 and my last one was 2005. why would i compete again. i decided right off the bat it wasn't for me.
So why did you bring this arguement up?

I think you missed scheduling checkers and warcraft...I mean you have every other hobbie out there...Looks like Most of the people going dont even care about BB...
Thank you and Congrats to Jeff Taylor, my partner for helping make this years show better than last year! ;)

from what i saw on the finals video only like 5 rows of seats where filled
There was a lot of people at the finals event...there wasnt just 5 rows filled...the show is a success
epic bust, total failure for Fat Shawn ..........75 people in attendance, half with free tickets

Here are screen caps from right after the pros did their posing routines at the night show.
You see a man interviewing Toney Freeman, standing in the 2nd row, in the first pic.
You see the 3 to 4 rows behind him with people, then empty the rest of the way, in the second pic.
These are from 1:06 of the Bbing.com download if you want to verify. About 5 to 6 rows of people at the night finals, right after the last guy did his posing routine.

Big Ron was in Denver for the show.
He'll give us the real facts on the attendance.
I don't know... Ron is hesitant to report things that portray the sport in a negative light. he won't lie, but he might evade the question or give some vague answer like "I thought there was a good turnout".

epic failure, Milos has to be laughing his ass off
The final posedown seemed to lack a little excitement... seemed like kai knew he had the win and was avoiding going tooe to toe against Rockel or Darrem, as to not blow it at the last minute. So no head-to-heads.
I heard there was more people at Milos's seminar. :P
