Hey people
Not sure how many of you remember me, but I used to frequent these boards quite often.
Anyway, I used to compete in bodybuilding, but unfortunately due to several issues I was forced to set it aside for a while. I have not really trained in about 2 years and I just got back into the gym this week.
I need a good training split that will help me get back in the groove and start putting on my lost size. Thanks for any help!

damn, no love from the getbig crew :'(

No offense, but if you have a strong background in BB'ing and have competed, you should be the only one in the whole world that knows how your own body reacts to workouts. And what you have to do. I can only suggest that you do not need any serious split at this time. You may need the basic whole body workouts, three time a week. Probably for 4 to 6 weeks and than take it from there. Just to get back in the groove, so to speak. Size and strength should return at steady pace during this breaking-in period. Good Luck.

I am right here with you. Been training only mma for like 5 months no strength training that wasn't a specific boxing, wrestling or mma technique.
Just did pushups curl and tri extension hard 2 days ago. I can't even lift my arms above my shoulders right now. I hurt so bad yesterday I was almost sick, lol good times, good times.
For my own experience doing mma rounds helps alot with cardio and technique, only strength training with resistance can make stronger.
I don't know if you are a BBer or strength athlete or model or what, but what I do know is that my own strength training has given me a great advantage on the average person. I used to be a 150lb strong small guy, wishing I was 6'200lbs and solid, still athletic.
Now I am 180lbs and even with my older brother in almost every area. He is 6'1" 215lbs as of yesterday.
Get big son!
