in a game last night against the yankees, the blue jays aaron hill made a straight steal to home plate.
one of the wildest plays you see in baseball and doesnt happen very often. if you watch(this clip doesnt show it very well though) youll see that pettitte had no clue what was going on ;D

jays ended up winning 3-2

heres another clip of it. watch from about the 1:10 mark and youll see pettittes reaction . hes almost home before pettitte even realizes what going on.

did that once in a game. and i am f'ing slow.
bottom of the last inning down by one run. the pitcher got so rushed he threw the ball to the backstop and was so pissed he didn't move to cover the plate. our guy on second base kept running and scored the winning run. one of the most bizarre finishes to any game i've been in.

funny how pettite didn't even look at home before stepping off. i wonder if he did that without even first hearing posada
