I've really grown to see that while on this board in the last few months. I've also realized i share many of the same values and opinions with "true" conservatives. I got to the point where i was confusing these neo-cons with "real" conservative values so to speak.

Culturally, Bush advocates torture, spying on americans, militaristic foreign relations, eviscerating the separation power and alienating noncompliant foreign allies.

He is not a cultural conservative b/c those things are not the norm in our traditions and values.

Economically, Bush advocates tax cuts during a time of war and in spite of a crushing debt. His borrow and spend policies have nearly doubled our national debt.

He is not an fiscal conservative b/c those things are new achievements in our country's economic history.

George Bush is a right wing ideologue.

Sure they are. They conserve as much as possible for themselves and don't give a shit about anyone else.
