I'm thinking about adding a can of tuna into my daily diet. but I most admite, its hard to get it down. so i was curious is there any one that eats a can of tuna everyday?? do you just eat it out the can, plain or you add different things into th mix??
thanks
p.s. is there away of cut down the smille of the tuna. I want to bring when I'm trevaling but the smille of the tuna.

No. I hate Tuna but I eat about a can of Salmon a week (usually straight out of the can with Hot Sauce).
-
I eat a can about every other day. Canned tuna is a great way to add about 32 grams of protein to your diet. I like to mix it with some brown rice cooked in chicken stock to make it taste better.
-
I used to eat tune, now I eat a can of chicken a day, tasted better. Eat it with green beans and hotsauce a lil garlic powder.

I used to buy a lot of canned chicken until I started experimenting with my slow cooker. Now I just take about five pounds of Chicken Breast & put it in a slow cooker filled with water & spices & let it simmer for about a day. After that I remove them & smash them with a fork (they break apart just like chicken from a can) & put them in small containers & freeze them.

I eat two small cans of tuna a day, or one large can. I am fine eating it straight out of the can. If you wanna make it taste better, here are things I've done:
1. Just add pepper and lemon juice (Squeeze a lemon or two).
2. Add pepper, lemon juice, light mayo, lettuce, and a sliced tomato. <<< tastes awesome!

I eat 2 cans of salmon a day, which tastes much less fishy IMO. I mix it with various mustards and pickle relish. Sometimes I mix in a mashed sweet potato. Sounds odd, but actually tastes pretty good. I've been told the odor isn't all that pleasant tho :P
Peppercorn Ranch (light version) also works well too.

I used to eat lots of tuna back when I did the high protein diet.
These days, I may eat one here or there, but my main focus is getting teh veggies in. That's where all the antioxi's, vitamins and flav's are. 8)

Yeah i tend to keep the little cans in the fridge and bust em out if I'm short on protein in a pinch. I think you just have to get used to the taste, i only have the ones in springwater though so the tend to taste a little plain ;).
-
I try and eat two cans a day
Buy the tuna steak (not chunks!) in springwater
Squeeze either a small whole lime, or small whole lemon on top (pepper optional)
and enjoy!
(i actually look forward to it now)
I get 90g of good quality protein a day just from this.

chunk WHITE is awesome. chunk LIGHT sucks.

I get that chalk down fingerboard feeling when I bite into canned tuna, so I make shakes from it, it's a lil gritty, but I don't get that awful spine feeling. I usually put lemon or lime, lots of franks or texas pete's maybe some salsa. and drink.
-
Yep, it's cheap, it's portable (as long as you keep a can opener).
My favorite way to prepare it is to mix it with some spicy mustard, pepper then lay it on a bed of lettuce then, wrap it in a low carb wheat tortilla. Maybe add some onions and tomatoes...or hell, small slivers of avacado.
-
2 per day 5 times per week-
first consumption is with a low carb whole wheat tortilla with jalapeno sause
second consumption is again with a tortilla but this time with a 1/4 cup of tomato sause (for the lycopene)
-
an hour prior to workout ---one can chuck light, and some brown rice....
get chunk light--less mercury risk...or so they say..

Back when I ate a can of tuna a day, I used to just take a couple of bites and swallow it with apple juice, to down it easier.
I would later switch to having a cup of yogurt with my tuna. Not only did the yogurt help swalloing the fish easier, but is added and extra 8-10 grams of protein to my meal. That's 40-45 grams of protein, depending on the type of tuna and yogurt consumed.

i don't really like eating tuna, but last week a found one that i really like, actualy i'm gonna buy some today.
pastene brand (gotta be this brand, others taste like shit), tuna in olive oil...... damn, i just can't wait to buy some!!!
-
ate a can monday -friday plain, for two years.now I can't stand it.
-
tuna is good for the muscles! just mx a little mayo with it. ;)

definitely by the tuna packs over cans if you want to travel with it. I know a great diet that Dave Draper claims to be the best way to get shredded fast. It's basically two weeks of tuna 7 times a day, drink buckets of water and then add in cottage cheese, chicken, fibrous carbs etc. on week three.
Check out his book if you want the full scoop. Bother Iron Sister Steel.

ughh...tuna 7 times a day?
i think one or two cans a day would be my limit.
replacing a few of those tuna meals with other sources of lean protein would work just as well.
-
I don't eat that much Tuna but when I do I have replaced my mayo with salsa...I was skeptical but it isn't bad.....
-
2 cans every night before going to bed.
i usually mix it with some hard boiled eggs whites, some green onion, pickles, low fat cheese and I crush 2-3 Ryvita in it.
Taste awsome...you can add some light fat free italian salad dressing.
Yummy- Yummy

I love these, especially when I travel on business...

I used to eat tuna sandwitches everyday using a big can. Ive also went on a all meat diet and would eat tuna plain which taste sick but has a lot of protien. I lost a lot of weight doing that and retained a decent amount of muscle. Now I prefer to cook some fish on my George Forman and make a burrito or nachos with fish on top or something but no more tuna for me.
-
Yep I like tuna anytime, i just eat it plain and it tastes alright. I used to make toasted tuna sandwiches, they were quality ;D
-
One can a day for me, I usually just throw on some hot sauce and that helps with the taste.
